To be fair, they were already on shakey ground since 2017. That's when they started to shut down lots of locations, like the one near my apartment. COVID just gave them a reason to take that dying dog behind the shed.Truly a COVID tragedy. It's really a shame since it's my favorite childhood place for a healthy option. No other salad place can compare. Gives me something to blame the chinks for dragging the world into this global shitshow we've been stuck in for over a year.

I wouldn't be shocked if those companies cheaped out. I do know that Celeste, while being a trash frozen pizza even by their standards, used to be somewhat better. Nowadays the cheese imitation just flows like water if you nuke it and they skimp on the other ingredients now too.Frozen pizza used to taste good. I bought a tombstone pizza for the first time in forever as a cheat meal. Like it was so gross that I threw the whole thing in the garbage. I also thought that Jack's changed their recipe or am I mistaken?
Maybe the Burger Kings around my area are absolute shit, but all the ones I've been to were filthy with burgers containing enough grease to fill a doggie bag with stomach acid. This was in the 90s, even. While it's not discontinued, I miss actual Burger King food from 20 years ago. It's amazing how after some formula and ingredient changes, Burger King went from top tier level fast food to bottom of the shit barrel.
Red Baron french bread pizza is good. Idk about their regular pizzas though.Frozen pizza used to taste good. I bought a tombstone pizza for the first time in forever as a cheat meal. I was born in the mid 80s and they were pretty decent in the late 80s to the late 90s. Probably just had shit taste as a kid, but I remember always preferring BK if we were going to pick up fast food.Maybe the Burger Kings around my area are absolute shit, but all the ones I've been to were filthy with burgers containing enough grease to fill a doggie bag with stomach acid. My father said they were good when they first opened in the 50s, but they were never good during my lifespan. Kinda wish I understood the hype, but them's the breaks I guess.
Visited one of my old haunts a few days ago, and the BK nearby was completely shelled out. Had some awesome food and good promotions from when I was small, but I guess their quality tanked so low that they had to close up.I was born in the mid 80s and they were pretty decent in the late 80s to the late 90s. you’re not wrong that they’ve gone completely down the toilet though. All the ones in my area just look filthy, they’re staffed by absolute nitwits and the handful of times I’ve gotten food from one it’s been disgusting, no other word for it but disgusting.
The only thing I miss is the BK Big Fish. They were making this from actual filets when McDonald's was still using nasty ground up who knows what fish parts. (McDonald's now uses actual filets).Visited one of my old haunts a few days ago, and the BK nearby was completely shelled out. Agreed. BK was pretty good during the 90s (I grew up on their Crossandwiches), but they've been on a steep decline the past 20 years. I went to one a few months ago, and a simple order for a Whopper and drink inside the store (because the drive though window was closed for some reason) took OVER 30 MINUTES. Damn place looked like it hadn't been mopped or dusted in months! The last time I had ordered from that same location was two years ago, and back then it was very clean and the service was quick.I was born in the mid 80s and they were pretty decent in the late 80s to the late 90s. The Kenny Rogers Roasters grilled chicken sandwich (and most of their menu) was one of the best grilled/roasted chicken restaurants. I don't why this doesn't exist any more (outside a few obscure locations in Asian countries).I miss that BK broiler and the grilled chicken arch deluxe From McDonalds. Nobody makes a grilled chicken sandwich anymore.( Near my work. )
