The thing that boggles my mind is that theoretically, they should have been fencing off the males and females after last year's 'oops' cria; they were too stupid to realize that was a thing you should do at first, but I'm pretty sure in the time since then they had at least theoretically mentioned some separation (though their idea of animal care seems to be shove them in the rape shack at night, turn them loose during the day, and let god sort out the rest). So assuming that they made some attempt at separating their alpaca since then... why do they have cria being born right now at all?
They have to have figured out by now that their land clearly can't support all these animals. The initial herd size ballooned because they took in an extra hundred all in a single go, but they haven't 'rescued' any more since then, so one likes to hope they realized that animals actually need some modicum.of care and feed, neither which they seem particularly enthusiastic about providing. Why are they letting them breed and produce more mouths to feed? Are they under the impression that 200 was an ideal number and so they need replacements for all the ones that dropped dead due to neglect/starvation/freezing?
I know the answer is just that they're retarded, but it makes you wonder for like half a second before you remember theres no point asking why these dudes do anything.
Passing.
