What really gets me is how bad she's trying to make her out to be, she's got an entire family that Faith has offloaded the entire job of taking care of Xander to without worrying about bringing in an income to keep a roof and food. Looking at her snaps to Ralph, it's clear that the reality of being a single mother has not sunk in. Her talks about "support networks" and "lots of family" indicate that she still thinks that having a baby entitles her to be cared for by her relatives. Faith intuitively knows she can't hack it by herself as a single mom, but still wants to be one anyways.

The truth probably lies somewhere in between. Babies ain't cheap. Matt has many mouths to feed. Faith doesn't earn income and almost certainly isn't ready to be a parent. Matt and Mrs. Vickers are probably taking on a lot of additional responsibilities they didn't want or ask for. Xander would definitely be better off if allowed to be adopted by a vetted family.

I can believe the adoption conversation happened because adoption is really the only option that makes sense. As much as we all shit on Vickers for being a hot-headed, short-sighted goofball, he is not completely bereft of all senses of pragmatism. I can totally buy Matt in particular is trying to strongarm Faith into doing what is the best option for everyone involved.

Also, adopted by Matt and Mrs. Matt still counts as adoption and I would not be surprised if it turned out that Fai Fai withheld that minor detail from Rad Roberts when trying to manipulate people onto her side on the issue of her continuing to be a single mother incapable of supporting a child on her own

If baby was adopted it could permanently disappear from the internet and that would be a good thing for him on top of other things that a proper family can provide. Adoption I think is worst for Faith in the long run. But, she deserves it, so fuck her. Everybody is so scummy in all of this I can't bring myself to trust anyone. Faith pretending to always be stuck between two fires of two fat people threatening that they'll "lose it" if she does one thing or the other.

Block Ralph, what's worst that can happen? He loses it, you get restraining order. There is no legitimate reason or any value in maintaining contact with him. I’m inclined to think that if these messages are real that they were sent at a point in time when Faith was still pregnant and in contact with Ralph. There are no timestamps or specifics to definitively support this. Personally, I think he is trying to stir up fake drama to get his paypigs to dono more and to imply he has actual contact with the Faith/Xander.
