While she was still seeing him she commented in a live that it was a requirement that she clean her vag (and something else....maybe teeth?) every day, like it was a novel idea (or even her idea). Also, showering is (or at least should be) a life-long routine, so the fact that she associates it with him means that she rarely showered to begin with.

Not being able to fit in the shower SHOULD trigger you. Most normal people realize they can't fit into a pair of pants and think "Oh, hell, gotta lose weight." Then there's like 16 other major warning signs before you can't fit in a shower.

When fatties on My 600 LB Life can't fit in the shower, I do feel bad for them. It's humiliating and it must be awful to need help showering when you're under 60 and not otherwise disabled, or have to be hosed down in a kiddie pool outside. But I'd still rather be hosed down than just eschew bathing all together.

Chantal isn't traumatized by showering or any association with showering. She just loves being filthy. She should feel triggered or ashamed by this shower situation but she doesn't, showering is an inconvenience for her, as you say. You'd think after her infected boil saga and later, infected fupa, she'd be more invested in her hygiene. But you need the ability to feel shame and the ability to understand that your actions (or lack of actions) have consequences for that.
