Snoopy has died

God, I feel so awful for Scamper. If the hoard wasn't as abysmal as it was, he probably would've had a higher chance of making it out alive. I feel like even the cats that initially warm up to Chris (Sorbet, Pollo) end up wanting nothing to do with him sooner or later. Some cats like... kitty are more direct with their hatred for Chris, like you said.
it's VERY small consolation, but cats have small lungs and don't take long to suffocate in a fire.

Was Snoopy sick? Pre-existing condition? Cos 9 is a really young age for a dog to just randomly die in their sleep.
I’d wager a bad diet, lack of exercise, and an untreated leg injury, all contributed to obesity and likely really high cholesterol. That could lead to heart conditions (which you know wouldn’t have been diagnosed) or a stroke. There’s no way to know for sure of course but that’s my theory.

Is that about normal lifespan for a beagle? Idk last I heard he was overweight and I know that leads to tons of issues. Poor guy, at least he's not hurting anymore :(

We had a Beagle when I was a kid. I did play with her and take her on long walks but by the time I was in high school I just didn't have the time to excercise her on a regular basis. These dogs are hunting dogs and very active. They also have a voracious appetite. If they are not excercised on a regular basis they will get fat really quick. Ours lived to 11 but she was a big dog. Not as big as Snoopy but still had some girth. These are working dogs like Heelers and need to be utilized as such. They can be loving but really aren't the best pets for people that don't know how to care for them.

Rest in power.
