She traveled to some of the most backwater areas of America — thousands of miles from civilization — and brought a photocopier to show them how to copy an ID card. The rural Americans had never seen such a device, though, and soon became angry at it.
“It’s stealing our documents’ souls!” exclaimed one simple rural American upon seeing his ID copied. He then pointed an accusing finger at Harris. “She must be a witch!”
“I am not a witch,” Harris stated, though her statement was undercut by the way she kept cackling like one.
The angry rural folk then tied Harris to a stake to burn her as a witch.
“It was not my idea to impose advanced city technology on your simple rural brains!” Harris pleaded with them. “That is the fault of the Republicans! I wanted to spare you from this!”
The rural people ignored her and began lighting kindling around her feet.
“Science forgive them!” Harris called out. “They know not what they do! For they are too rural and simple! Their brains are filled with nothing but knowledge about corn!”
After letting it go on for a few minutes, the Secret Service finally decided they should probably do something, so they put out the fire, untied Harris, and took her away on Broom One.

Ruthlessness didn't really help the Soviets or the regime they were propping up, the Soviets were indiscriminately scattering gas and cluster bombs everywhere and the DRA was conducting good old fashioned red terrors which was what caused the Mujahedeen to chimp out in the first place. Maybe literal concentration camps (in the Chinese style if not the 6 gorillion style) might've done it but post-9/11 hysteria only gets you so much.

The hypothetical in question is whether or not the US could, through proxies(actual American soldiers rounding up and killing the Pashtun off entirely is obviously out of the question.), ethnically cleanse the Pashtun tribes. The question in this hypothetical would be whether or not the American media would willingly turn a blind eye to the Northern Alliance doing it while the US military does nothing to stop them.
Another important question would be what the various foreign media orgs would think of something like that. Bush managed to at least partly bully the domestic media into compliance, but they never really liked him that much and when his popularity sunk after Katrina they started really tearing into him. (the foreign press, as far as I'm aware, was skeptical of him basically from Iraq onward.) A Tajik genocide of the Pashtun could at least in theory cause that event to happen earlier, how much earlier is hard to say.

It would probably draw a lot of condemnation though it's hard to say anything could actually be done about it. Straight up escalating the 90s Afghan civil war into a full on Pashtun vs everyone else race war would probably leave Afghanistan in an even worse state than it is now and make America look even worse somehow, though.

Its an attempt to emulate Trump without understanding Trump. The left (and a good chunk of the right) were jealous of Trump's ability to tweet something and have it become an instant news cyclone center. They want that kind of power, that kind of reach, and so what you see is some kind of skinwalkwer-esque emulation of the act. It has all the visual similarities, but everything just seems... off and off-putting.

Was it someone here who said that some Biden intern saw Trump's constant shitposting and decided to use that power for 'good'? With Trump you could tell it was him most of the time, for better or worse you could read all of his posts in his silly orange voice and it'd sound completely natural. With Biden it's glaringly obvious he's not in control of his account, though I hope some intern realizes that and goes too far to make cringe boomerposts in his name instead.
