I mat or may not have been a tard and reached out to him on Facebook and Twitter. To message on linkedin you have to be a premium account. I can sign up for a free trial. Im hesitant on the e-mail. Those white page/ background website are never accurate.
As far as I can tell there's only two, pretty cold leads. One is your contact with their (ex-)family and the second is the persona and posts of
@Wayne Beckett. Maybe a third would be Hector, but I think they're known and we have their statement.
Wayne seems interesting since they imply an actual working relationship with byuu/Near which might bring us closer geographically as they mentioned a link to Japan.
In a previous post I detailed that 'Datapower Development' (mentioned on a random Wayne Beckett's LinkedIn) is actually called 'Data Power Development'. Searching for that, along with a '-IBM' clause I found a few more, dumb factoids.
Old 2008
shipping records list their address as (didn't parse this earlier):
18/F A, HAVEN COMMERCIAL BUILDING
6-8 TSING FUNG STREET
TIN HAU HONG KONG
HONG KONG
Two companies they trade with are 'Performance Designed Products LLC' and 'Electro Source LLC'. Both in California, U.S.? Coincidentally, that's where Hyperkin is located. Doesn't really matter.
An
autistic web aggregator searchable by HK Chamber of Commerce number mentions that the company holds a
U.S. Trademark on 'Save Wizard'. The 2018 trademark holder is listed at the same address:
18a Haven Commercial Building
6-8 Tsing fung street
Tin Hau, HK
The trademark itself seems logical given that 'Save Wizard' seems to be their main software product. I really doubt that this product brings in enough money to pay for multiple offices and employees, but I'm not familiar with the offline game cheating demographic.
But wait, there's slightly more...
Another HUGE cash cow must be the
'MultiPad Lite' that Data Power Development Limited engineered for a respected Japanese gaming company. At least it's a public link to Japan and gaming.
And that's about as far as it goes for a public footprint of a supposedly international company with potentially multiple offices, but no actual company website.
In the meantime I learned that some of the Chinese script on the earlier screenshots are the company name. Searching for '華來發展有限公司' didn't bring me any joy, but maybe someone gets lucky with these jolly characters.
Also: why dive into all of this? I don't know. Seems like one of the only ways to get more context and information surrounding Wayne's posts here. Given their adamant stance some of their statements might hold bits of truth. It would be far easier for them to just post and explain a bit more, but so far it's a fun puzzle to pass free time.
Update: if you look up the address on Google Maps you'll get these glorious pictures of the Data Power Development Limited main office. I was expecting a bit more, so maybe this rendition isn't entirely accurate.
