Interesting, and who knows, it may have happened, since we live in clown world now I can't dismiss crazy shit out of hand anymore. However, I honestly think it was an accident that happened due to the Chinese being fucking gross and incompetent, then its retarded government fucking everything up as usual. I'm still like 60/40 about it being a leak from sloppy "health and safety" standards at the Wuhan lab because its proximity is a big fucking coincidence, and I think the CCP at least considered it a possibility which is why they first made an attempt to cover it up and then started shitting their pants once they failed - they're studying bad shit there and thought whatever leaked was far worse than it actually was. World governments, intelligence agencies, think tanks and whatnot have plans for almost every bad what-if scenario no matter how far out, and considering "plague from China, likely a nasty and highly contagious coronavirus" was actually very fucking likely, really a given at some point, it makes sense that they had a detailed action plan they could pull the trigger on and swift action was taken immediately.
As for having some of the gene sequences patented, again it makes sense, people do research on this sort of thing specifically so they can be the first to come up with an effective countermeasure (and/or cash in) in this type of scenario. All the fuckery that followed was just that no politicians are willing to dial back and admit the initial hysteria was an overreaction, but mostly it's the perfect excuse to finally be allowed to mainline the mRNA shit they've been forced to sit on into a test group of
billions while dodging all liability and getting filthy fucking rich doing it. So some people were prepared to pounce once they got their opportunity of a lifetime, and it's not unlikely that samples were snuck out of China earlier than most people knew about it to get an advantage, but I wouldn't take that to mean the virus was engineered and let rip on purpose.
He is right about the meaning of "novel" coronavirus in this case being completely fucking arbitrary and vague enough to be very malleable, as are the criteria for emergency use. The hysteria of the general public certainly took on a life of its own after a while but to me it's undeniable that politicians, scientists and news media are intentionally perpetuating it for either profit motive, some faggoty ideal of controlling and experimenting on people for the "greater good", or both.
