Chat is in members-only mode so the only viewers who can participate must be paid subscribers of his channel.

I.E. there are 30+ gawkers for every true believer watching right now.

Chat is in 24-hour subscriber mode, which you can bypass with a membership.

To be listed as a chat participant you had to have sent at least one message in the last 10 minutes

No, it's sub-only mode. Anyone who's subscribed for 24 hours can chat. It tells me that the majority of who's watching him are not subscribed to his channel.

That "Silent Majority" of his is really silent...

he just misspoke, membership is what you pay for, subscribers is just clicking the red button on Youtube and maybe clicking the bell for notifications (not like you'd want to get notifications from Dark)

Just reading on Wikipedia, and I've found something I find interesting.

The governor of the State of Washington had a salary of $182,179 in 2019. Phil expects AND makes between $100,000 and $150,000 a year depending on how "generous" his piggies are feeling. I just find it nuts that he makes almost as much as the governor of his state.

"I never planned this as a career..." *Snort* "I fell back onto YouTube back in 2010 when I lost my office job at the helicopter company...." If I was Sanofi Aventis, the makers of Ambien, I'd sue Phil for copyright of their patent. I tried to watch Phil raw, because no one was restreaming him, and I couldn't last more than 5 minutes. Phil is a better sleep aid than Ambien.

Not sure if it's been pointed out yet, but the Steam Deck is better and cheaper than Phil's laptop. Should've waited, Philly Boy

CPU - AMD Zen 2 (4000 series portable)

Yeah I see all the Targets near me are doing that too. It would make sense if he did something like this and also that the ryzen in the laptop is one or two generations/models old. I think the new one is 4300u for a laptop like his. It would be a Target type of thing selling an older model laptop.

Sorry if answered already but you are right it only shows who's chatting. Also, someone here mentioned the time frame a chat participant will be listed if not chatting anymore.

EDIT: Sorry mahds, I made a Darksydephil with back to back posts. I still love you guys though.

Phil would have to install Windows on the Steam Deck, though. He couldn't bother doing that on his laptop for a decade.

I'm also very skeptical how well Steam Deck will perform. A 20w limit, a different OS that will need support, and the base $400 is terrible out the gate with only eMMC storage.
