Black Lives Matter (more than everyone else's...)

It's just another example of how hard it is to start a political movement without the loudmouth radicals hijacking it by stealing your branding to get attention they can't otherwise get, especially in the era of the hashtag.

I don't doubt the good intentions of those who started it, but, they're quickly being pushed aside so the idiots on both sides can have a big ol' pointless (as one has already said) slapfight.

Same thing happened to the occupy movement, the radicals stole it to try and piggy-back their way to relevance and all that happened was it went up in flames and riots and wannabe martyrs yelling "Jackboot!" as bored cops removed them from public parks after they'd be living there for months and turning the place into a trash dump.

I'll just bring this thread to its inevitable conclusion:

Honkey wants to keep the black man down! Down with whitey!
Kill those inner city thugs! Show 'em that #NoLivesMatter!

You're welcome OP.

OP is strawmanning and cherrypicking here.

Regarding the people calling out the Sanders rally in Seattle, I do not condone them. And the BLM chapter there apologized, claiming that they did not organize the interruption.

It's good to reach out to a guy like Sanders, but don't be an ass in the process.

When people say Black Lives Matter, they're not downplaying the importance of other people's lives.
People who are activists for saving the rain forests are not blowing off the importance of other types of forests.

Let's get one thing straight. this is not a group to be sneered at, mocked or disparaged, because these people are protesting real issues regardless of the fact that Mike Brown was a crook.

Racism (individual or institutional) and police brutality still permeate the United States.

There are a lot of people who died for no reason, many we don't even know about.

Tamir Rice, Sandra Bland, & Sam Dubose are only 3 people...

As for OP's bogus claim that "black lives matter more than white lives", Black Lives Matter brought up the killing of an unarmed white teenager Zachary Hammond, because the media didn't talk about it at first. Hammond was shot in the back and he died, because he had a bag of pot. He was not confrontational or anything.

It's 2015, blacks make up about 15% of the U.S. population.

Shit like this is inexcusable.

I support Black Lives Matter 100 percent.

These people aren't even close to the idiots typically discussed on this board. They're not wizardchan and Sluthate, not otherkin, not the fat acceptance movement, not the euphoric atheists, not Tom Preston, not CWC, not StrikerWolf.

Being an oppressed minority is a lucrative racket and nobody wants to share their niche or brand. It's the same reason that (some) Jews get mad when you point out the numerous other victims of the Holocaust.

Interestingly, I've recently been seeing a lot of people say "11 million" instead of "6 million" when referencing the Holocaust.

Let's get one thing straight. this is not a group to be sneered at, mocked or disparaged, because these people are protesting real issues regardless of the fact that Mike Brown was a crook.

So it's yet another group of activists who supposedly have good intentions but consistently rally behind bad people.

Fuck that, no group is above ridicule and jokes at their expense.

Indeed.
There are plenty of perfectly respectable movements, groups, and fandoms in the world. And BLM is bringing attention to a real issue. However, when the most visible members in your movement are the idiots, then don't think you'll be protected from mockery.

>Be a white person and support BLM

"Wow, you can never understand what it's really like. You are absolute scum for trying to make this about you. You can never be an ally."

>Be a white person and be indifferent to BLM

"Glad to see you support killing black people"

I really can't win so I don't even fucking bother.
