Honestly Monica was my favorite female VA. I always recognized her and loved how unique she sounded. Now she just makes me wants to stab my ears with a screwdriver.

Sabat was one of my favorite male VAs....now I can't stand him. Everywhere you go, there he is.

Sean was Goku and that's all I knew. Didn't think anything about him. I was happy to hear his voice in other stuff like Kappa Kappa Mikey.

Had no idea who Jamie and Kara were.

Vic was even someone I didn't know for other than FMA 03. I always loved his unique sound as Ed but I didn't follow his career.

Monica: I thought was a nice and charming person. Out 3 Kai replacements she was up there with Chris Ayres but its just now Ayres who's the only good replacement. Now I think she's one of the most disingenuous people I've ever witness

Sean and Chris:......FUCK MAN. I used to love these guy's so much. They were my childhood. I grew thinking Sean was the best VA (till Troy Baker arrived in my heart) and Chris was up there too. I remember them being there live at their Otakon 2015 panel and I love hearing them. I even defended Sean during that Kamehacon 2018 fiasco. But this made me never wanna hear them again

I listened to "In Plain Sight", kind of reminded me of the old movie "Cast a Deadly Spell" with Fred Ward. It was entertaining.

For the record, Vic plays a very attractive sounding redhead as one of the many characters. No homo.

Rial - Kinda knew who she was. Did care for her squeaky voice
Sabat - sat on some of his panels. He seemed full of himself
Schemmel - always thought he was an asshole. Couldn't tell you what he was in before all of this (I'm not a dragonball fan)

None of them made me want to wait in a line to meet them or get an autograph, and this was even when autographs were included in the con price. I've had Vic sign probably over a dozen items. I've gotten autographs from Caitlin Glass (2), JYB (2), and Yoshitoshi ABe.

Didn't really mind them much. Listened to the dubs on toonami mostly and thought they were fun to watch for the most part.

Sabat i hated how he played some major dragonball characters and can't scream.

Sean Schemmel i always knew he was an asshole and preferred kalamis.

I actually like Monica's Froppy, but don't really pay much mind of her anywhere else. Also she's a cunt.

Vic i just knew him as broly and from FMA.

I started being familiar with Funimation's voice actors since 2003 (?) after I bout the Prima Strategy Guide for DBZ Budokai.
After that, I would check the back of instruction booklets to see who voiced who. To say I was familiar with most of the voice actors would be an understatement (except Jamie Marchi. I wasn't really familiar with her work until 2017). I've even seen some of them at conventions, including Vic.
Sean Schemmel behaving like a manchild was something I never saw but was talked about.
I was also familiar with the Rooster Teeth side of things since Red vs. Blue (2005) until 2018.
Aside from LawTwitter and the KickVic spergs like @Shane_Yes_That_One (except penguintruth. I've known about his bitter existence for over 12 years), the only ones I wasn't familiar with were @MarzGurl, ANN's staff, and some of the Channel Awesome personalities (save for Doug). The only reason why I know about JewWario were the tributes YouTubers paid to him after his suicide, then the IMMEDIATE backpedal by them when #ChangeTheChannel revealed his true nature leaked in 2018.

Since I've never been a dubtard and never watched anime dubbed in English as a kid (not my native language) I never cared about dub VAs until I started playing some dubbed games (namely DBZ Budokai) -- after growing up (and actually learning some of the language) I've always watched stuff subbed and only refer to the subs whenever I can't understand the dialogue.

That aside, I mildly liked Sabat's croaky voice as Vegeta but have never been able to stand Salty Schemmel as Goku. Vic I'd never heard of until the weeb wars started, and at first I have to admit I was 100% against him due to the kind of allegations made, but upon closer examination of available evidence and the track record of his accusers I realized the man'd been done dirty.

Met the three VAs directly involved in this suit at one time or another. They seemed like nice people. Vic always had very energetic panels. To this day, I don't have a problem with Monica or Jamie's voice acting (though Monica's better when she's not an ear-grating child and Jamie when she doesn't do valley girl bimbo). I barely remember FMA, and I don't watch DragonBall, so Vic was kind of whatever to me, though I did like his Qrow and Silvermask/Hilmes. Now, of course, I think Monica and Jamie are shitty human beings, and being more exposed to Vic (e.g. his Twitch streams) makes me think he's a completely all right dude.

As for some of the others:

I never really knew or cared about Sabat. Just a voice I heard every once in a while. As mentioned, I don't watch DB, so literally the only thing I knew about Schemmel is that he threw a bitch fit when a con invited Peter Kelamis alongside him. Kara Edwards was just kind of there. Chuck Huber was just kind of there. Chris Rager was just kind of there. Etc.

I got tired of hearing Vic's voice during the time he was part of the A team at funi and seemed like he was in *everything*. He has a very distinctive voice and I could instantly tell it was him (same with JYB). But this was around the time I was transitioning from toonami to subs.

Sabat I didn't *know* *know* until I looked him up and realized he always played strong burly manly men, figured he was type-casted (not exactly wrong). He was a bit of a dick to a friend of mine once over an autograph (plush was already signed by the JP voice, guess that made him upset).

Didn't know who Marchi was until weeb wars and looking back I do know a few roles here and there but she's ultimately forgettable imo.

Monica is hit or miss. She either does an excellent job (she was honestly the best part of the trash known as Diabolic Lovers) or she fucking bombs the role (Sakura Kinomoto, I'm sorry but I was hoping beyond hope that someone else would voice sakura when clear card came out. I would take the OG dub from the early 2000s over Monica).

Sean shemmel -- I legit still can't get over the fact that he voiced lucario, as I loved that movie as a kid and still own it. I can hear it now but I never watched DBZ as a kid.
 
Last bit of dubbed anime I watched was around the mid 1990s so I didn't really know who any of these people were and due to their actions I have no interest in watching anything they're in. I prefer my subtitles.

I liked and wanted to meet pretty much all of Funimation’s VAs before the shit hit the fan. Grew up with their dub of DBZ so Chris and Sean have always been Vegeta and Goku for me, and I loved their dubs of Fruits Basket and the original Fullmetal Alchemist as well. Don’t think I watched any with Jamie in them.

Vic always stood out as being a really wholesome guy and I’m glad I’ve been able to meet him. It’s a real shame that his former coworkers turned out to be a bunch of bitter cunts considering I’ve enjoyed a lot of their voice work. To say I was disappointed in them would be putting it lightly.

I loved his voice for Sorsha Kincaid and Iggy lol Iggy doesn't even sound like Vic at all. Sometimes I forgot it was just him. There's so many books in that series so I hope the audiobook did well and the author will hire Vic for more.

Apparently he did an even better job in The Crimson Spark. I haven't heard it yet because I'm broke af

For those who don't know, this Neomonsterisle guy kitbashes, he doesn't sculpt toys. No clue what awards he's won before. I've never heard of him until now. He has a facebook page with 6.7k followers and is lucky to get ten people commenting on his statuses.

"You all are just conspiracy theorists, Vic being a conservative Christian had nothing to do with him being fired,there's plenty of other VAs who are conservative" yet time & time again I see people involved in the industry say shit like "if you support trump I don't want you as a fan" "trump supporters are racist, misogynist, homophobes" It's not at all that farfetched to think these people would go that extreme over politics. Anybody who is suspected of being a trump supporter is targeted, hell Stallone went to some club trump owns & there was a shitstorm
