I liked skyward sword, but I find I'm much less picky than 'true gamers'. Wouldn't say I love it, but I don't get bothered by the same gripes as others. I have others, like I hate Zelda in this one. Impa too, to an extent. Lou is definitely stupid about his gaming choices, but that has to do with his spending habits with other people's money. Not playing what he wasted other people's money on is adding insult to injury. That's Skyward Sword, Louis.
This instantly tells me Louis bought this with absolutely zero understanding of the game he just purchased. When Skyward Sword came out, there was a genuine frenzy because of how poorly it was being rated by critics and is still considered the worst mainline game in the franchise, and for good reason. Even though this remake fixes a few fundamental issues, you simply cannot fix the glaring problems the game has involving its storyline with a glacial speed and a gameplay loop which consists of constantly repeating what you've already done once or twice more for hours.
I use the game as a fantastic litmus test to see if people just purchase things for the label, because if you actually cared where your money went, you wouldn't buy it. On top of that, you can't use the excuse of "I'm a fan of the series," because if you were, you'd be aware of how bad it is. Louis complaining the game moves at a snail's pace is like complaining your head hurts because you just slammed a sledgehammer into it.
And yes, having already bought and played skyward sword at its release I plan to buy it again (and play it) once I can budget it comfortably.
Yes it is very autistic of me to be bothered by this. So sue me.
