Firstly, and granted female shoulder pads/chest protector (which also cover most of the torso and are strapped around your back rather than just hanging inside your jersey loosely) equipment is a little bit different I'd assume, between where it covers the body and having a jersey on over top of it, it would be very hard to get your hand in while fighting someone (ESPECIALLY while they're wearing a fucking jersey) to tear out a navel piercing.
