Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

I love the people that say "Johnson and Johnson paying out $26 BILLION for the opioid epidemic" is misinformation because that's unrelated to vaccines.

Oh okay. So J&J completely fucked up people with OTHER mediciations but this vaccine is different because I don't (yet) have any proof that it's fucking up people. Even though the only "proof" you'll accept is a study that you yourselves do and even that won't count for reasons. Or I can just get Pfizer because they haven't been caught yet. Ok, sure.

I was data collecting for a comparison between influenza virus from previous years to Covid-19 and found that the CDC does not have the data for the previous week's reports for 2021 available. I'm not sure if it is because they don't have it or something else. Regardless, I think a lot of the numbers in the US are fudged and I don't remember or know if the influenza virus could give a false positive on Covid tests. #tinfoilhat

In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season. Laboratories and testing sites should validate and verify their selected assay within their facility before beginning clinical testing.

TL;DR - Yes, the flu can make a false-positive for COVID.

LOL. NYC already has a police shortage. This should help with that.

Is this just in regards to the CDC-developed PCR test or is the underlying technology the same in all of the different PCR tests that are in use?

Care Units ALWAYS run at 100% capacity. It's horrendously expensive to keep ICU beds open, leaving them empty almost never happens. Media whores claiming that an ICU operating as it should is a 'crisis' is fucking retarded.
This is probably the first time I've heard someone mention this and you're 100% right. Hospitals as a whole run nearly at capacity because they're for profit. What appears to be a massive, sprawling hospital building probably only has 75 ICU beds tops, and that's in large city centers.

I think they should've shown the inside of hospitals at the peak of the pandemic. Pro vax people seem to think this would show the "real horror" but I think it would put it in perspective. Old people hooked up to machines is par the course for the ICU.

At this point I'm so tried of double speak. Heart muscle inflammation from the vaccine is a well known side effect and we are told it's "no big deal" and goes away, apparently leaving no damage. But if you get a mild case of COVID, no worse than a common cold, you are absolutely risking long term side effects that can be deadly. How the fuck isn't heart inflammation a massive issue? I thought that was one of the really bad symptoms of COVID. So which is it? They are being purposefully unclear.

Anyone still remember the field hospitals the US built but were never used?

I’m in the area there. The hospitals are spiking but doing okay. It could eventually be a problem but this “er patients in the hallways” is a regulardaily occurence. As is opening and closing wards as needed. I think they got a bit flat footed with hiring.

The main gripe they send us is the money from the feds has dried up.

It probably because of the conflict of interest. It common in the medical field, they always downplay the side effect of intervention and exaggerate the the effect of non intervention

So, I had a thought that made for quite a story. Just imagine if you wanted to dominate the global landscape. You release a virus in a prime travel spot a the busiest time of the year. You create hysteria around it that makes global news, mislead on treatment methods that actually cause more harm. The death rate is really quite low, but people are primed for panic. Since you were the first to face the disease, the rest of the world takes it on good faith when you give them a partial genome. You suggest to them that the spike protein is the key part that they should target for a vaccine, knowing full well that it is in and of itself, a disease agent.

You let the rest of the world inoculate itself with poison. You know that it causes micro clotting and will kill the lion's share of your global rivals population within a few years. You use a useless vaccine of your own making on your own population. Some of you will die, but more of them will.

In 5-10 years, conquer the now culled lands, their useful infrastructure still in place. Are you a war criminal? Sure, although you just chambered the bullet, the other side chose to put the gun to their head and pull the trigger. You're a monster, but who's left to complain? If there's no one to count the foul, what does it matter? China Numbah 1!

I just thought it was a good short story.

To be a "war criminal" you need to lose the war. Well, I doubt China is the big boss behind all of it, but they certainly have a really comfortable seat at the table. But it is telling on the global stage that the West is still cucking it's own economy while the Chinese factories humm along in peace.

If I were to tell you a crazy story, the whole "great reset" beside centralization is basically a peaceful agreement between the west and china/india that they can have a bigger share of the pie, so no need for yet another World War that would possibly go nuclear just to feed the two rising economy's resouce hunger. Just see how easy they get away with pollution while the West is getting more absurd. It sounds like a smart fanfic idea, but the living standards of the west will sacrificed, not the Elite's treasures.

I mean they bitch and moan about us driving cars, yet they are okay with 2+ billion Chinese and Indians ditching their bikes in favor of a car. And their carbon footprint expanding crazily as well.

They also paid out billions for their talcum powder causing carcinogenic material, which j&j knew about...

Third times a charm though, right?
