New video from April Lauren:
Deciding if I should do phase one | Day in the Life on my Weight Loss Journey Losing 200lbs
She gets sponsored by Hello Fresh and makes one of the meals, but then at 15 minutes, she and her husband pick up several ready made meals from the store?
She starts to justify it as "supplemental" to what they cook at home, then completely changes the topic by going on and on about how great Hello Fresh is while the video is still showing the ready made frozen food lol. Is there no one lazier than this woman? Seems a stupid move to put pre-made meals into the same video as a Hello Fresh sponsorship.
So, in yet another display of hedonistic consumerism, April has bought Altra shoes after seeing them on a YTber that does ultra trails ? Whyyyy
Now, Altra shoes are a solid choice for thru hikes & running trail (at least from what I've heard - personally, Asics are bae), and their wide toe box is indeed unique, so I can see why April would be a sucker for that given her general width. But why the fuck would she buy trail shoes for walking 3 miles (allegedly) ?
She has Altra Lone Peaks that are priced at 140€, so about $165 (perhaps less, since clothing/shoes is generally cheaper in the US). Regardless, she still spent well over $100 on a pair of shoes that's way above her skill level.
Just looking at her husband and her side-by-side is hilarious. Her hubby, for all his lacklustre outward appearance, competes in Spartan Races, on top of being military. And yet he's out there wearing just regular clothes & Spartan Rd Pro Running shoes that somehow cost less than April's for his training runs, while she's decked out in overpriced "athletic" gear just to slowly waddle her way through a couple of miles max. (Although I even doubt that, given how out of breath she is in the footage of them walking from their car).
The shot of her saying "And this is workout number 1 (...) most days I'm doing 3 workouts" while showing her husband running away in the distance at 7:03 is priceless. You couldn't make that level of delusion up.
The passage she chose to share from her inspirational book is also quite telling, "You simply can't please anyone". While in essence true, it's really not what April should be telling herself when she's barely even trying.
