You can guess the size of this 28 year old "with no health issues" who died of COVID.

Truly I feel sorry that anyone loses a family member to covid but the news is being manipulative in saying that “a young so and so died with no health issues” but being overweight is and in itself a “health issue” so 🤷🏼‍♀️ In the interest of being PC no one will come out and say that.

New video from April Lauren: Deciding if I should do phase one | Day in the Life on my Weight Loss Journey Losing 200lbs

She gets sponsored by Hello Fresh and makes one of the meals, but then at 15 minutes, she and her husband pick up several ready made meals from the store?

She starts to justify it as "supplemental" to what they cook at home, then completely changes the topic by going on and on about how great Hello Fresh is while the video is still showing the ready made frozen food lol. Is there no one lazier than this woman? Seems a stupid move to put pre-made meals into the same video as a Hello Fresh sponsorship.

I thought the same thing!!

I'm telling you guys, she's not just lazy. She's trying to signal to her dumb audience about how "hard" she's working on her weight loss and how she doesn't even have time to cook. Between walking and yoga, she's exhausted and you wouldn't want her to fall back on unhealthy habits would you?

Lizzo getting weight loss surgery would be career suicide considering being fat is her only real hook. Perhaps she’s delusional enough to think people care enough about her “talent”, not realizing her fanbase will consider her a traitor for losing weight. After all, she thought talking about wanting to date Chris Evans for months was anything other than creepy. So her grip on reality is questionable at the absolute best. She’d definitely gain it all back in a couple years.

The only person in my family who got hospitalized from covid is morbidly obese and spent months talking shit about how covid is nbd unless you're 80 years old and how she's perfectly healthy, so she'll be fine. On a normal day, she needs a cpap and takes several meds for obesity related health issues. Months after she got discharged, she's still whining about the exact same health issues she's always had (and loudly complained about, in between bites of cake and delusional claims of perfect health) but now she won't shut the fuck up about how she has fucking Long Covid.

So, in yet another display of hedonistic consumerism, April has bought Altra shoes after seeing them on a YTber that does ultra trails ? Whyyyy
Now, Altra shoes are a solid choice for thru hikes & running trail (at least from what I've heard - personally, Asics are bae), and their wide toe box is indeed unique, so I can see why April would be a sucker for that given her general width. But why the fuck would she buy trail shoes for walking 3 miles (allegedly) ?
She has Altra Lone Peaks that are priced at 140€, so about $165 (perhaps less, since clothing/shoes is generally cheaper in the US). Regardless, she still spent well over $100 on a pair of shoes that's way above her skill level.

Just looking at her husband and her side-by-side is hilarious. Her hubby, for all his lacklustre outward appearance, competes in Spartan Races, on top of being military. And yet he's out there wearing just regular clothes & Spartan Rd Pro Running shoes that somehow cost less than April's for his training runs, while she's decked out in overpriced "athletic" gear just to slowly waddle her way through a couple of miles max. (Although I even doubt that, given how out of breath she is in the footage of them walking from their car).
The shot of her saying "And this is workout number 1 (...) most days I'm doing 3 workouts" while showing her husband running away in the distance at 7:03 is priceless. You couldn't make that level of delusion up.

The passage she chose to share from her inspirational book is also quite telling, "You simply can't please anyone". While in essence true, it's really not what April should be telling herself when she's barely even trying.

Would you like to volunteer as tribute to sit through that or should I ?
I tried, my friends. I couldn't make it. I only got about 10 minutes in.
If anyone wants to start after that point, all you'd miss is a cringey intro, bad sound editing, and an attempt to introduce their "guest". It's a bad sign when one of the "co-hosts" is introduced as an "and sometimes".

The government tracking people's food intake and exercise is fucking creepy and smacks of 1984-esque Big Brothering. Obesity is bad and needs to be dealt with but that should be a doctor's domain. They've studied this shit, they know how the body works and what foods make you healthy or unhealthy. The government getting involved wouldn't change anything, especially if all they're offering is free shit to people who follow the rules.

But leave it to a HAES cow to stink it up by whining and making it all about her.
It won't work anyways. I don't know if there's research on this but overweight people seem to vastly underestimate what they eat. So even if they were reporting to the gov, the self reported info would likely be inaccurate. Self reported info is already known in scientific studies to be unreliable and biased. I think it's partly an issue of shame and copium but possibly also executive functioning issues and learning disabilities untreated in the general population, bingeing altering feelings of satiety and perception of portions and processed food made to be unfilling and addictive. Hopefully there will be calorie tracking devices made that do it automatically and can't be altered. Some people are literally too dumb for my fitness pal and reporting calories accurately themselves. Everyone would be shocked to see the real amount of calories they are consuming. Then that info could be reported to the gov for statistics or whatever. Hopefully we get there one day and finally see accurate data beyond anecdotal reports of "I barely eat anything!" or "I only eat salads!".

Leave it to a HAESer fool to say boo to free shit. Bitch you ain't being punished or affected by anything for being fat with this new supposed incentive so shut the fuck up.
I find this so hypocritical. HAES types are usually progressive and for all types of government intervention but are suddenly libertarians when it suits them.

This is why I wish this was taught in school (it isn’t in my country). Like teach kids about calorie counting and what a serving size looks like. Teach them in a way that isn’t obsessive but shows them how they can still enjoy eating crap with their friends and balance it out later. The HAES crowd would absolutely lose their shit though.

Yes, there's something terribly incongruous about self-reporting versus reality for whatever reason (I'm sure for a variety of reasons). Even "smart" FAs who claim to eat normal, healthy portions show that's not true when they post their meals on social media. I've brought up Lesley Kinzel, an educated albeit extremely biased and pernicious OG Internet FA, an inordinate amount here, but she is one of the worst offenders. She absolutely eats 3000+ calories every day while maintaining that dieting is ineffective and impossible. The fact that she shows this food (massive restaurant meals usually accompanied by appetizers, extra sides, big desserts, full-sugar soda) and still pretends that only severe restriction/starvation would have any effect on her weight is alarming, if not insulting. And there's obviously no way in hell someone with the IQ of a Slaton can report accurately or understand what they're eating.
