Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

I will say, and I'll probably regret this tomorrow, but I expected the CDC announcement to be way worse. I expected them to flat out say "everyone back in your masks", but instead they went with the softer "if you are in a [high risk] area, you should put your masks back on". Except all the high risk areas are in the south, where they've mostly told the CDC to go fuck themselves already.

I will never underestimate Cuomo's ability to fuck me over, but it doesn't seem like there's even enough here for Cuomo to put New Yorkers back in their masks. He could, because he's an asshole, but there's a bit of hope for the moment.
Never underestimate the tyranny and cuckery that cuck states are capable of. It's just a matter of time. I think the mask mandate will be reinstated in blue states by next week, maybe next month if I'm being generous. And the people will put up with it because people will put up with anything.

If there's a protest in my area (there probably won't be), I'm going. I've never gone to a protest in my life, but this past year has changed me for the worse. Hell, I may even give going to jail for not wearing a mask a second thought. What's the point in living like this?

"If we do a real good job on vaccines, healthcare, reproductive services.........we could lower that by about 10-15%"

WTF Bill, didn't you proofread your godamned speech? Why would you leave in the line saying vaccines, healthcare reduce population. This whole time I just thought it was subtle hints, but he just goes out and says it. I get it, as a population gets closer to first world, the birth rates plummet, but saying it like that. I mean you did this to yourself. I remember him playing price is right or something, and he said a loaf of bread was $20, he is so out of touch with the regular man he probably has zero clue that it sounds bad.

It will be the year of Soylent Green, that's the year the movie takes place, 2022. The first minute of this trailer is sounding a bit to close to reality, this is making me uncomfortable. "Conductor we have a problem!Conductor we have a problem!Conductor we have a problem!"

It turns out that the year is 2010, a 10-year jump into the future from the previous episode. Earth has transformed into a seeming paradise of long life and perfect health thanks to an alliance with the Aschen Confederation. It is the 10-year anniversary of SG-1's first encountering the Aschen, and there is going to be a ceremony commemorating the event. The Stargate now serves as a public gateway to other worlds and stands in the J.R. Reed Space Terminal. With the help of the Aschen, the Goa'uld have been defeated.

At this point in time, Sam and her husband, Ambassador Joseph Faxon, are trying to get pregnant, but so far no luck. Their doctor, an Aschen, says there's nothing wrong with either of them and that they should just keep trying. When she tells Dr. Janet Fraiser, Janet asks Sam to come by her office for an examination. Janet mentions that she is bored, given the near absence of disease thanks to Aschen vaccines. Sam agrees to be examined by her, and Janet makes a shocking discovery: Sam has been sterilized. She'll never be able to have children. Sam is devastated, not only because she can't have children, but because her Aschen doctor lied to her by telling her there was nothing wrong with her. Both wonder if this problem has occurred anywhere else in the world. They use the Aschen computer at Sam's lab to do a search, under the guise of running simulations of the collapse of Jupiter into a star.

Sam and Janet soon discover a dark secret: Aschen medical treatments have made 91% of humans infertile, allowing them to bloodlessly take over the Earth through a long-term invasion.

Not as long as people comply. Actually at the market a guy asked the cashier when this is gonna end, I answered for her: when you guys stop following the rules.

My estimation time for people stopping? From all the retards I see around in the open with masks:
Never.

Literally they will just manipulate the polls to make anti-masker people think they are a minority

That isnt beneath them

Not sure why you think public opinion is a deterrent to these faggots. They are actively flying in new voters every chance they get.

lol of course the CDC just reversed its stance, and yet they wonder why people don't trust them or take them seriously.

I'm starting to think a lot of people LOVE being told what to do and have some weird emotional fetish for rules, mandates, and virtue signaling. it's the only explanation I can think of for why so many people seem to get off on how "good" they are for following The Ever-Changing Goalposts of the Science.

100k cases in my neck of the woods today

1/3 are vaccinated

Line go up

Jesus Pfizer really scammed people with the promise of 90% protection against infection, not ICU. CDC mask rules are meh since I don't mind being able to do everything as usual but with a piece of paper on my face, and I've basically just gotten a habit at this point of getting my mask for everything over 1.5 years anyways lol

st. louis county council voted to end the mask mandate. 5-2. the 2 people who voted in favor of the mandate cited today's new cdc guidelines as reasons to keep the mandate. the crowd got rowdy and threats of expulsion were made by the chair. at the end, the mayor of st. louis county ends the meeting with his little speech, half the room left immediatly and then the rest of the room left after he started talking about the deadly delta virus. I swear he looked like he was going to cry. people were losing their minds at the meeting, some lady screamed "i washed my hands, i wore the masks, i washed my bananas even, and i still go the virus, how???? explain that to me!"

The evening news here interviewed various school districts for their response to the latest CDC directives. One already had a policy in place that they planed to stick to regardless of what the CDC announced. Another was quick to decide that teachers and students need masks for in-person learning, and another decided to be surprisingly based with the spokesperson telling the reporter that the district wasn't going to make a decision now because CDC guidelines could change between now and September and there was no point in making a decision that might have to be changed at the last minute before the first day of school.

Given the CDC's conflicting advice over the past year-plus without any sort of explanation or rationale, I can't blame those that don't want to make knee-jerk reactions in response to every COVID-related statement that comes from the CDC.

This capstones the frustration that the average person has experienced since last March. Those people that have tried to follow the rules and guidelines feel frustrated when they still catch COVID despite going out of their way to be careful while others that aren't careful seem to not be getting sick.

Even my uncle, who believes the vaccines do work, admits that all reinstating the mandates would do is reward the people who don't take the vaccine. Too bad he'll blame the unvaccinated when they get reinstated and not the government. So close, and yet so far...

Looks like I may get fired soon, good.
More likely is that a black market of false coof shot entries will emerge.

You guys are too scared of authoritarianism. Authoritarianism isn't viable long-term, because it is made of people. Life finds a way, take it from someone who lives in a former commie country.

I love that Vox article crying about the public health agencies getting their powers nerfed by the courts. It's like they never heard the story of the boy who cried wolf. Although I think that should be changed to "The Doctor Who Cried Pandemic" in this day and age. Actually that would make a funny political children's book you'd gift to your boomer relative as a gag gift, hopefully stuffed chock-full of plenty of funny Dr. Fraudci charicatures.

I doubt Juan Illegez wants or cares about mask or vaxx mandates either. Aside from the fact he's defacto exempt from most of them, he's paranoid that the vaxx is a scheme to get him registered by the government and get ICE sent to his hovel. Even in illegal-friendly states like California, illegals like Senor Illegez have very low vaxx rates and predictably "racism" is blamed. Juan doesn't like having to wear a mask when he does the gardening or construction or tomato-picking in the hot summer sun. He hates how the government wants to close down or restrict the shitty club that pays protection money to MS-13 where he and his fellow illegals party at and get smashed on shitty tequila every weekend. Even if Juan Illegez votes straight Democrat, he does it out of self-preservation.

I already have one ready if all else fails. I plan to spend as much time as possible arguing with HR at my job, try and make up pre-existing conditions/family medical history that might exempt me, will use the "I will hold the company responsible and file a lawsuit if they mandate a vaccine and I am harmed in any way" and if that doesn't work I'll simply give out a fake card and hope I don't get caught. If I do, then oh well, I'll just find another job since I will have references who would think being fired over that is stupid and it isn't like finding a job is hard these days or that my fake vaxx card is guaranteed to fail.

And that's assuming I can't get an actual legit card from a shady doctor. It isn't like the same areas that are skeptical about the magic science juice aren't also the same areas full of shady doctors who hand out opioids like candy. Word travels about where to find these doctors and get a legitimate card. There's a lot of options and it's a great idea to have a plan in mind for when these bastards come for you.

Just make a card and fill it out.

On the second dose call out sick....go fishing or golfing with your time. Claim you had horrible reactions. You couldnt breathe...you sharted blood..whatever you can think of.

Come back to work and unequivocally state to HR you will not be taking any boosters based on your expierence.

If you get caught they were going to fire you anyway. If they force the issue well then you can give a pity party about it and your door to unemployment is open.

This will work cause millenials running HR are lazy and literally dont verify anything...ever
