EDIT: Noo marine's costume with earring, that's one thing i hoped she doesn't wear
Would you have the ring be somewhere else?
Fuck it I'm caving in, I'll watch it on my phone in silence when there like 130k plus viewer's I can't miss out now.

Inb4 susantube AI senses a tiny bit of skin and bans her on the spot. I would expect nothing else from the horny pirate now.

EDIT: THE HAT AND PONYTAIL COMBO :feels:
YES
I wonder how she got away with the zipper thing. Damn
She did it so fast

Also, this one for the horni:

WE FINALLY GOT A SWIMSUIT AFTER GEN 2

WE FINALLY GOT A SWIMSUIT AFTER GEN 2
who cares about swim suits, open hair marine is where it's at! (which is shorter than the pony or twintails for some reason...)

thank god there's no glasses options or I'd pull a fubuki...

EDIT: rewatched it and it's even talking about marine :story:

The 1-month solitary confinement rule is kinda dumb anyway.
I swear you've been here for the discussions around this policy. If you have then I think you're willfully ignoring the benefits to it and the point behind it.

If not, it's a very simple concept, I think anyone can agree with the idea behind it. Maybe not like it, but that's fine.
I can even help explain it.

I wasn't here for them, and if I was I was probably not paying much attention.

I'm very interested in hearing what you have to say on the matter.

Ah, my apologies then. It's not some arbitrary punishment, it's heavy handed, but it's not mean. It's so that the talent can take the time to learn how to stream, make their core fanbase and hang out with their gen mates and create a support net between them. This method has worked and I ask you to look at HoloJP gens 3, 4 and 5 as my proof. The girls and boys are here to be idols, they need to create a core audience that is willing to fanatically throw money at merchandise Cover will in time create of that talent. It's also a time for the talent in question to analyze and determine if they're truly cut out for this, one such talent Aloe was not. Other talents such as Coco took the time to create the original AsaCoco as a way to advertize her gen mates and show off the beautiful bombshell Coco was talent-wise. The worst a Hololive talent has to do is wait the month out and work out ideas of collabs with their senpai. So even the thing it forbids, it can and has helped. Coco again proved this, as well as HoloEN.

It works, other companies don't do it and they work. It is very possible the policy could be tied to how Cover monetizes the talents. Irys was also given some slack on this as she has no genmates, so she only had 2 week ban with other HoloEN. Edit: This policy in my experience and opinion has only helped the Hololive talents and especially in the long run.

Edit: I wish i could better shrink the body, but at least I got my thoughts and examples out.

Oh? Marine's new costume is the same as the one from her Daki which she revealed during her 1 mil celebration earlier in the month

Which means we've already seen what her costume was - we just didn't know it yet.

Let's talk about the fact that winning son got 200k subs. Truly winning, and truly son.
Slowly but surely HoloStars will grow. I do think their growth in a lot of ways mimics early Hololive, I think some traction will come there way if they can keep making this progress, I'm so excited.

I'd like to clarify I never described it as a punishment, by the by. I understand it's something they all do. I also concede I didn't know IRyS was only 2 weeks because that was going to be my main concern (honestly, I'm losing track of the days after a year of lockdowns and shit).

So, thank you for your clarification.

Personally, though, I still don't really like it. I understand the necessity of establishing a core audience, but don't necessarily buy that a generation cannibalising their own initial watchers during that one month is really any different to collaborating with another member outside of that generation.

It also isn't sensitive to individual talents, either. For example, we knew exactly what Calli's and Ina's talents were going to be as early as their debut, but it took a whole month before Kiara had the ability to let her talents shine through, which is even more baffling when a recent Hololive interview confirmed that Kiara was hired for her Japanese proficiency.

I don't necessarily believe the rule should be scrapped outright, but I definitely think it could do with being more malleable to unearth people's talents nice and quickly. Maybe something like 'Okay it's 1 month before you can go off and do your own thing, but Kiara can host a quiz show with EN and JP members at the end of the first week to promote you and also show his strong she is at this talent' kind of thing.

Or at least 'You can entire the JP Minecraft server you just can't VC with anyone yet' so people aren't concerned IRyS is going to be punished for something that is pretty inconsequential.

I'd also like to mention this discussion has largely stemmed from a post where I was actually defending Cover, that they wouldn't punish IRyS for something so meaningless. Just in case people are thinking otherwise again.💀

I get you don't like it, and that's okay, I can understand not liking it.

I think it's not trying to be sensitive to their talents, they need them to be able to establish themselves individually. That said, you are right and Kiara wouldn't take off until the ban was lifted, but that plays into what I said where they have that month to plan with senpai. The ban isn't they can't talk to senpai, just can't collab, so it's very possible having that month to plan and prep helped Kiara.

Plenty of things can benefit from being more malleable, I don't disagree, but I see the sentiment passed around in a lot of places that this stifles the talents or hurts them, which is bad because it gives a bad impression of an otherwise thoughtful policy. Edit: That has done plenty of good.

Ya, the panic was weird, no one's been punished before for this either. Part of the thing about having someone show you around is so you don't get lost or feel defeated, it can be rough to "find your place" in a largely established server.

I know you don't hate Cover or Hololive, I stayed out of the discussion raging at you for that reason. You're good man, I just wanted to put my thoughts out there and you gave me the chance to, I thank you for said chance and for being so receptive.
