This is the craziest shit. Is there any chance that, if found true and warranting a sentence, Chris could be found insane and institutionalized? I figure the moment he says that God told him to do it and that his multiple imaginary husbands agree- along with his obvious extreme autism and crippling delusion- his course could be altered a bit.

I wanted to believe that it was faked, but shit looks pretty real right now. I guess this should have been more obvious, given Chris' previous stances on incest along with his craziness and horniness, not to mention his closeness with Barb/ access to her and hardly anyone else.

It makes my stomach turn. Barb is basically a husk at this point, and the thought of her being subjected to any sexual activity by her overweight, greasy, trans-ish son is horrific.

They couldn't have know the impact that the internet would have on someone with Chris's conidiations. Everyone knew that Barb was very mentally ill though. All of her children and Bob all knew she needed serious help. Two profoundly mentally ill people should never have been trusted to care for each other.

I had hoped this wasn't true but suspected that it was. If they got an emergency removal/protection order this fast it doesn't necessarily mean anything yet. They have to examine Barbara and talk to her to try to find out if there's any evidence of ongoing abuse. If they do, Chris will probably be charged. If they don't, I don't know. I don't want to believe that they'll send her back to that shithole with Chris, especially not when he's saying things like this to other people, which at the very least is evidence of ideation and therefore risk of future abuse. Social services in most places have abysmal track records with this kind of shit though.

Even if there’s no evidence of ongoing abuse, I certainly hope there’s something that can be done to get Barb (and hopefully Chris) into some sort of professional care thanks to this fiasco. We all know neither one of them can take care of themselves, let alone each other.

Sending her back would be the worst thing possible not only because of the whole “elderly woman with dementia and a delusional autist living in a hovel” situation, but because even if there’s no evidence of anything happening, Chris has made himself a rapist of elderly women in the eyes of the whole internet and god knows what somebody will try to do about it.
