Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but on top of incest, it's very likely this would be considered rape too. Barb is an elderly woman with dementia who does not have the physical or mental capabilities to fend someone off, or to properly consent/refuse consent. Rape is punishable by a minimum of 5 years in Virginia.
Chris also is not all-there mentally, but is aware enough to know you shouldn't rape your elderly mother.

When I first read the thread title, I thought Chris was confiding to someone about incidents that had occured during his childhood and he was revealing to them that his mother had molested him when he was a kid, which would have gone a long way in explaining why he's as fucked up as he is.
Then I start to read his texts and realize that this didn't happen years ago, when he was a child. These events were recent and weren't about his mom molesting him...he was casually and even somewhat proudly boasting about how he sexually assaulted his own elderly mother.
I wouldn't think there was anything he could do or say that could shock or surprise me, but this is so screwed up and beyond the pale, even for Chris.
And even now, after he's been removed from his home and forbidden to have contact with his mother, it's almost a certainty that he doesn't think he did anything even slightly weird, much less vile and horribly wrong.
When he's arrested, I hope the police release the videos of them interrogating him. Those will no doubt be fascinating.

Worked with quite a few extremely disabled autistic clients to know autism card will not work as a justification for this. They still get put on registeries and they still get penalized.
