Many of us have been watching Chris for a long time. Some of us since he first emerged onto the internet, others through memes or his comic or threads discussing him. Regardless of where you jumped in on for this ride through Christory, one prevailing theme that has literally always been true (and something many veteran Kiwis agree with me on) is that the best Chris was free-range Chris, when he created content for us to laugh at with no input or impetus from anyone. It's why sagas like Alec's were hilarious, but Bluespike's were concentrated agony to witness. It's why Chris wearing his WANT WOMAN! Shirt at a concert was a delight to witness and the Idea Guys forcing Chris to fucking beat his mom made the entire forum break out the torches and pitchforks.

As time went on and Chris has interacted with both the public and his trolls, one thing that has become paInfully clear as we've covered Chris, however, is how disastrous Social Media was to him. The Idea Guys and trooning as a whole were things he only got exposed to via Soclal Media, and as bad as the chantards trolling him was, the damage done to him by the likes of Twitter has been infinitely worse.

For his sake, I hope this whole thing turns out to be wrong. If it doesn't, it's further proof of the fact that if anything, the chantards trolling Chris were, all things being considered, infinitely kinder than what followed and fucked him up worse.

It's so weird, I'm like actually freaking out. It was so sudden and out the blue, I think this is the end of Chris Chan folks.

I'm honestly getting flashbacks to 9 11 what the actual fuck, like the world is just collapsing in on itself and I'm watching momentous lolcows history unfold before my eyes

I woke up at 10:30, smoked my cigarette as I read the news.

I knew I better get ready for work and get there five minutes early so I can read the preliminary posts before it was confirmed. I made my points in the first thread how there were always signs of incest.

I am so glad I had a double shift yesterday and not today so now I can binge out on the YouTube commentators.

And watching the sun set, knowing Chris has no roof tonight.

Sonic was a mistake. I don't think it is coincidence that this shithole of a fandom attracts the most autistic and rapey motherfuckers on the planet. Sega, do the right thing and delete the Sonic franchise. Please. I fucking hate this blue hedgehog on an irrational level.

During my stint as a nurse's aide, one of the people in our facility was also a super rapey Sonic-obsessed sperg. He had the typical -tism accent, as I like to call it, where he clearly could not annunciate words and had those soulless dead eyes. The only time his eyes would show a gleam of light was when he was engaging with some Sonic bullshit or... when he suddenly got grabby because he was horny. He might go days squealing like a pig and slathering himself in his own feces, but it was like he was fully cognisant when he wanted to try and rape you or talk endlessly about whatever stupid thing happened in Sonic, today.

The Sonic fandom's degeneracy was just a distant land, a surreal dream, until I met it in real life. There's something about that fucking blue hedgehog that is a siren's call for rapey autists.
