You know what most likely would've kept this rape saga from happening? Bob taking away the computer, Chris actively ignoring the internet. I don't really care that he's not of a normal sound mind, he still is a "high functioning" autist who could've made sound decisions for himself. Even with the current situation, Chris made a choice to assault his mom. Nobody is actively "hurt" by a ED page or a KF thread, the Internet is not real life and we need to stop pretending like it is.

For me personally, I still believed he had at least some understanding that if he raped someone, that would be bad. (But, he doesn't even seem to grasp what he did here was rape, so that's out the window.) I also thought that he wouldn't be able to overpower anyone if he tried to do it. (But, a dying old woman can't fight back against anything, obviously.) As for Barb specifically, it kind of goes back to my first assumption in that I didn't think he'd hurt his mother (The Idea Guys' extortion notwithstanding) since she was the one person he was actually close to, but instead it just gave him the opportunity.

TL;DR: I was naïve. *sigh*

Does anyone here think this wouldn't have happened without the Idea Guys? They caused Chris' slip into outright insanity, and would he have done this if he still at least had one foot in reality like in the old days? Or do you figure such a dark outcome was inevitable? I know the Idea Guys just exploited delusions that had been there for a while and made them stronger, so maybe he would have gotten into this bad a state eventually on his own?

I don't really know myself.

Tbh i assumed he was gonna rape someone someday just not his mom. Most of my chips were on megan before they stopped being friends

Nick bought up something strange. From my perspective, the text read exactly like leaked emails Chris sent to @LoveYouLongTime . Remember, he would send her weird rambling long as emails regarding all the crazy shit he did when they were friends. Kind of like, he wanted to confide in a "gal-pal" about weird shit.

It's not impossible. It's irritating hearing all these dumb theories of what should happen in these situations from those unfamiliar with our mental health system. There's no magic psych counselor fairy brigade that swoops in early to prevent this, people like Chris just exist in the cracks of our world, and only crime can ever really change their living circumstances. When they're 'harmless' people just want them to take care of themselves and disappear, once they cause harm, then they're on the radar and warrant intervention.

These normies think you can just tattle on the deranged, and somehow full room and board, care, food, and necessities will be provided by the magic mental health bureau, and you'll never have to deal with the kook again. They never realize we don't have asylums any more, they just assume perfect facilities are standing by to deal with this so they don't have to.

"It's obvious all along he'd rape his mom" is easy to say after the fact, but when worries of such were stated before, people pointed to the fact that he was fairly dominated by his mom in some ways, and resorted to putting up signs to find a GF. He never really acted as the aggressor in trying to pursue women (though my memory ain't wonderful)

It can get so, so much worse, in ways most normal people can only imagine. As far as stuff I've seen, eh, this rates a 4/10 on the "gross/disturbing" scale.

When you delve into the world the crazy, the addicted, the criminal, and the homeless inhabit, you find their norms and behaviors can go so past the point of foul it ruins your perception of humanity for a while. As others have said, at least it wasn't children, and no one was mutilated.

yea this is why I had no doubt they were real when posted, shit is too autistic to be fake, it reads exactly like every other leaked chris conversation with his trollsonas

I am like 90% sure that she pushed him into actually doing it. In the call she mentioned something about dancing with barb or meeting her atleast, and was totally going along with his rapey shit. If chris did this all on his own without trolls pushing him into doing it then I will be shocked.
