I came to the Farms after learning about Chris Chan and seeing Kiwifarms referenced in GenoSamuel's videos. However, due to the extensive back catalog, I never actually read any of Chris' threads.
Not joking, just two days ago I resolved to really get down to reading through the Christory from (well, not the
beginning), but some reasonable starting point to the present. And then this shit happens. I feel like someone arriving slightly late for the arrival of the new airship Hindenburg, only to watch from beside my car as the airframe crumples and explodes in flames. I stare in awe of the disaster before me, unable to move or intervene, unable even to truly remark upon the scope of the catastrophe, since this was never my disaster to witness.
And yet, here I am, watching the most spectacular trainwreck so far in real time, but wouldn't it have been better to come in earlier, to witness the glory days? Or perhaps, would it have been better not to witness it at all?
What a time to be alive and on the internet.
