Didn't she say at one time that one of the few times he complimented her (in the beginning) it was to say she looked nice in that yellow dress? And as someone discussed in a previous post, after a certain amount of time and comfort level, Chinny no longer needs to completely Glam Up for him-hence the lack of glitter in what appear to be her last two covert visits with him.

She also said that when she arrives he tells her to remove all her clothes, so maybe she uses that crusty dress as a side table for anal lube when she gets there.

It’s likely the only thing that still fits, and is presentable for going calling on her gentleman friend. She could order other clothes, but is too lazy and high. She probably puts it off right up til the next traphouse excursion, remembers that she meant to stay sober long enough to order another tarp, forgot, oh well, the ugly hot topic disney dress will have to do. Again.

Smokey Steve (of Smokey Steve and Marc) makes an observation about Chins' sleep schedule. When Chins goes to sleep and wakes up, to her it's a new day for her. This is the case even if she takes a two hour nap. "Yesterday" is suddenly any time before she went to sleep.

He puts this unusual habit down to Chins' messy sleep schedule. But I don't think so. It seems harmless, but it's so disorienting that no one can really keep track of a firm timeline. It also helps her to lie with more plausible deniability. "No, I smoked yesterday" could mean the day before, or before she went to bed three hours ago. No one can call her on it, because her definition of what a day is can shift in order to suit her.

Ultimately we're left throwing up our hands and give up trying to sort out the truth, and as a consequence, rely more and more on Chins' distorted and self-serving narrative. It's just what the narc wants--a confused and bewildered audience who says, "Okay, okay, whatever, I don't even care when you last snorted coke, just please don't chew with your mouth open." And if we're willing to swallow her timeline out of sheer exhaustion, it's no wonder her more forgiving audience is too.

For someone so stupid, she really is pretty good at manipulation.

ETA I know this isn't anything new, so let me be clear: this behavior isn't an oopsie. I think she's doing it intentionally for the reasons stated above.
