You're a fat ugly American, so I forgive you for not understanding that while we don't have polio in countries with good sanitation, Polio still exists in the developing world despite mass vaccination efforts. India, Pakistan, Chad and Nigeria are examples of countries that have polio outbreaks.

Wild poliovirus (WPV) is only endemic in Afghanistan and Pakistan, because they are primitive tribal antivaxers. Although they do have an excuse for being anti-vaxers: the CIA used a polio vaccination campaign to locate Bin Laden, so in their minds they probably believe anyone who gets a polio shot will also get shot in the head by DEVGRU.

Here is a table with all the known cases since 2016. There were four or five in Nigeria, all the rest are in Afghanistan and Pakistan. India eradicated WPV within its borders in 2012. Chad has apparently been free of WPV since 2014. Nigeria hasn't had circulating WPV since 2016. (There are different milestones at which a country can claim to be polio-free, so you'll see different dates in different sources.) Sanitation doesn't really have much to do with it; I am informed that Indians still shit in streets, but they were able to eradicate polio through a vaccination program. And before the vaccines existed, even first world countries like the US had large polio outbreaks.

There are still occasional cases of circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus (cVDPV), but not enough to matter. From 2016-2020 there were an average of 337.4 cases acute flaccid paralysis per year due to cVDPV (and I think last year's extraordinary conditions contributed to the aberrantly high number). They are caused by the oral polio vaccine, and we have already started down the OPV cessation roadmap.

Before you discount my source entirely, I don't believe the GPEI has been subverted to the degree that the WHO's COVID activities have been. China doesn't stand to gain or lose face through the eradication of polio, and falsification of this data would put their own interests at risk. It would also be as ham-handed and obvious as all their other attempts to control global discourse on public health. And since I haven't seen any dopey music videos about the CCP conquering polio, I don't think they're interested in propagandizing polio eradication.

This line is pretty blatant racism. Polio persists in countries with poor sanitation: vaccines obviously helped us get rid of polio, but attributing these outbreaks to "Primitive tribal antivaxxers" is misleading.

Big Pharma makes big money testing their products in the developing world, they have done quite enough to erode their own reputation. And its not just Pharma, didn't the US Army use a fake vaccine drive in Pakistan to catch Bin Laden?

I legitimately think you’re playing some kind of 4D chess to make anti-vaxers see the importance of science. If you was anti-vax before. Surely, you’ve wised up after seeing such a cartoon character of anti-science and paranoia. I’m not meaning to dunk on you man. But reading your posts with the most possible fucking leeway and compassion I can muster. It still just comes across as looney tunes babble lol.

Random thoughts after reading most of the thread:

- If you die from mRNA vaccines due to your body's immune response, you probably wouldn't survive covid anyway

- Fear is normal, connecting everything to half of other circulated conspiracies is obsessive at best, psychotic or malicious at worse

- I don't believe in "them" (whoever them is) trying to genocide the whole population, but I wonder if purposefully spreading misinformation and scaring people off of vaccines would be considered genocide by the same group of conspiracy theorists

- Spying on the majority that got the vaccine wouldn't make any sense; not only because there's too many, but also: what's the point in watching those who from a schizo's perspective have no problem "obeying" the authorities? I know it's all crazy talk, but wouldn't those refusing be automatically more suspicious? Kind of like employers get suspicious when you don't have social media, because you're the odd one out even if fb is bullshit.

- People really don't care about protecting others if they feel like they won't benefit, huh? Sad.
