So I'm not sure if this has been mentioned at all before but I thought I'd offer an update on it.
In June 2020, Rurudo (Tokoyami Towa's illustrator) passed on her design of the heterochromatic android catmaid 'LOLO' to the person who, well, became LOLO.
Rurudo used to use this model herself but opted to use her bear costume instead, and enter a contract with LOLO's VA. A year later, that contract seems to have been terminated or not renewed, and LOLO's YouTube channel currently looks like this.
Now this is important: the name up until recently was just 'ふぁーびーの姿' (Furby's Shape, Shape of Furby?), but now 'LOLO Ch.' has returned which implies she has at least been able to maintain the rights to use the name.
Her Twitter account (@L0L0_0707) looks similar, save for one tweet she made on July 20 linking you to a message within her FanBox. I'm not subscribed to her so I don't know what she has said or how important it is. If anyone wants to go digging, it's there for you.
On the whole, I think this situation really sucks. LOLO was really shy but soft to listen to and watch. She spent most of her year working up the courage to collab with Towa and managed to do so only weeks before her identity was revoked and she ended up where she is now.
My hope is that Rurudo and LOLO can work something out, or the lack of contract negotiations was because one or both of them were too busy to sit through it. If not, I hope she has a nice model and rig that she's able to maintain the rights to so this doesn't happen again. Or become a 3D streamer.
