He'll spend the night in county jail, at least. Likely longer. Virginia's prison politics will make no sense to him, and he will not adapt well to his new environment.

Bail? Lol. No. Is there a white knight valiant enough to bail out a mom raper? Maybe. We'll see.

At least he has the comfort of his delusions. He'll need it.

There is a particular kind of (informal) "protective custody" which is really just the cops locking someone up on a minor charge because they know that the person is safer in jail than where they are. You can see this happen sometimes at protests where one guy will basically walk around like Mel Gibson in Die Hard with the "I hate Niggers" sign. The cops end up grabbing him on something because they know they have no chance to deal with the situation otherwise.

But I agree with you that this is most likely an actual arrest based on one of the pending charges because there was little or no actual risk to Chris and they had no reason to grab him for his own safety. Also, depending on whether the motel in question is within city jurisdiction, I would expect local police to respond for any calls to the location while county PD (the ones that picked him up) would be more likely to handle a warrant. But if it's outside city jurisdiction that wouldn't matter, county would handle it anyway.

Yeah he doesn't think he has a Deus Ex Machina, he IS the Deus Ex Machina. I wouldn't have expected trooning out to clear you of child rape but being an autistic troon is certainly going to give him some leeway. They're not going to be as harsh because his actions aren't viewed the same as they would be when you are talking about a normal person. He obviously has a very different perception of reality and they are going to grant him major leeway because his crime wasn't violent. He'll explain it away as doing his mother a favor and that she enjoyed her time. I wonder if they are going to call Barb in for questioning over the matter though. Also I wonder what she will say about the while ordeal.

Give me all the rainbows but I hope while in jail Chris gets thorough psych evaluations because I'm still not entirely conviced he truly comprehends what he did and Barb hasn't been doing creepy shit over the years herself.

Semper fi to the cops having to deal with that many internet retards in one place at the same time.
