Anyone on here buy or collect physical media?

Been a comic collector since I was very young. The industry is shrinking and soon almost all of it will be online and digital, but I still enjoy going into the local shop and pickup up a physical copy of a new book while I still can.

I used to collect movies. Majority is VHS tapes, a stack of those giant binders of DVDs. I never counted but probably well over a thousand shows I recorded off TV, movies, documentaries, stuff that companies send in the mail for free like hair club for men promotional videos, chamber of commerce promotional videos to attract tourists and shill for their city, and other stupid shit like that.

I've given away most of the kids movies to family members with young children, I've loaned stuff to people that I don't talk to anymore, yet it still takes up a gross amount of space. My mother lets me keep most of it in her garage cuz it's air conditioned and has an upstairs but I know one day I'm gonna get the call that she's cleaning and wants me to do something with it cuz she hates clutter. I wouldn't blame her, I haven't touched it in years.

I hate having stuff like that around too. Of the entire monstrous collection, I only keep one binder of DVDs and Blu Rays with me that has all the stuff I'd maybe like to watch sometime, but even now I just put on Netflix or watch old movies on YouTube or METV.

I have a modest CD collection of pretty diverse tastes, ranging from meme albums with one-hit wonders (4 Non-Blondes, Owl City) to more renowned bands (Radiohead, Nirvana).
I don't like the music on most of my CDs, most of the music I listen to is on my YT playlist

Remember when everyone used to have giant folders on their computer full of MP3 files? Well, I guess some still do, but it's so convenient to just pull up the song you wanna listen to on YouTube so why bother. If YouTube ever disappears it's gonna suck.

I actually downloaded mp3's of songs ripped from YouTube the other day cuz I discovered that you can add mp3 files to the music folder in "American Truck Simulator". That way I'd have some righteous tunes to deliver produce to.

Yep, I sure do. VHSes, DVDs, CDs, old shows, soundtracks, movies, video games, the works. I tend to collect series stuff, and even then, you just mark a line for your sanity to know what and what not to buy. I love finishing series sets.

Like with @wimzi, I don't trust streaming services for shit. Despite there being download sites too for music, there's some you can't find. It's pricey at times, but if you know what you want, you trade or buy it. Been trying to get the old burner out too for DVDs and images for stuff you can't buy or get in physical form legally.

Yeah, there is a problem with space, but I intend to remedy that sometime soon.

DVDs and the occasional book/CD every so often, but I can't do too much as my home is a little on the small side.

Yes. Not for PC Games because that shit is way too hard to find for me

Books and DVDs.

I prefer books from a tactile perspective. From a practical perspective, a lot of what I want to read isn't in electronic form.

As for DVDs, there's a hard limit to how many streaming services I can subscribe to, and as with books, often what I want to watch isn't on any service, and can't be found online either. So if there's a DVD available I buy it.

From a fuck you perspective, neither physical DVDs nor physical books can be stealth censored by the woke brigade. I guarantee you this is going to become a serious problem with the way things are currently headed.

EDIT: for clarity
