My impression is that her writing is similar to young Scandinavians who speak English as a second language. Technically/grammatically good for the most part, but with some rare Scandy-style mistakes.

Yeah I dont know the technical of of ESL(Other than going to HS with a lot of ESL) given that Im dumb enough to not speak anything other than English, so Ill give your opinion the weight here. Just seems weird they would pick what seems to me such obvious faults (especially if in a nordic country where they are taught proper english from a young age), almost as if they were egging us on.
