It really can only occur in the modern day when twitter decides to make all the Chris shit about transgender identity politics as though accepting every walking negative stereotype of transpeople is a good idea and would make the rest of the community look bad.

As for Chris, I look forward to what charges are placed on him because to see Chris behind bars would be the most surreal thing to end the entire story by. To see if he just stays alone in prison, dies in prison, or pulls a Mad Thad depends.

Thats the beauty of it. It's not new. Elagabalus from 222, Tale of two brothers from 1200 bc. , Kalonymus from 1286. Hell, even Japanese writings reference it from the 11th century.
