Not sure how it works legally, but is it not a rape charge because of how VA deals with incest legally? Is it under the rape umbrella so specifying that it's rape is redundant?

Just a guess with other cases I've seen in the past...Initial charges are the easiest ones to prove at the time of arrest. The DA will then work with the police to update/change charges as the investigation continues.

There is enough evidence to prove Chris had sex with his mother by his own admissions. Once it's all done Chris could be hit with a laundry list from rape, to elderly abuse, to theft, etc, etc.
