Tbh I kinda expected a mass shootout ending with Chris, with him believing he's invincible because of the merge so others aren't real people. However that'd require buying a gun and while I understand some places are notoriously lax with gun purchases, even the most lenient of lenient sketchy gun shops wouldn't have dared allowed Chris to purchase one, given how mentally frail he looks in general.

It's still possible further down the timeline but I think that window has truely closed, felons can't buy firearms and if he's in jail for more than a year, chances are he winds up dead in a few years time.
