If I had to guess, I’d say that he’s not going to be able to bond out, so he’ll have to sit in County Jail for up to a year while his case winds through the VA Court system. His lawyer will get the best deal he can for Chris, (probably a Guilty plea to one count of Rape with everything else dropped resulting in a few years of probation, lifetime RSO status, sex offender therapy, and a 10 year prison sentence but suspended as long as he complies with all of his probation conditions). So Chris sits in Central VA Regional Jail for a year, then gets out on Probation after sentencing, gets busted for violating probation within 6 months, and then he gets to go to big-boy jail for a few years. 10 year sentence, cut a couple of years off for “good time, cut that in half as long as he’s willing to be released on probation again, and then rinse and repeat.

There’s one other possibility here, and that’s what would happen if Chris’s lawyer can’t convince Chris to take the deal and Chris insists on a trial. If that happens, the DA will stack every possible charge on top of Chris and the judge will impose the max sentence on Chris for wasting the Court’s time. If Chris rejects a plea deal, pleads Not Guilty and takes it to trial, he’ll lose and go straight to Con College for a few years.

Out of those 2 scenarios, the first one is the best. I see no other way it goes for Chris other than these 2 scenarios, BTW.

as far as I'm aware the standard for criminal insanity is "does the defendant have the capacity to know what they did was wrong?". Chris' lying to Null, to his doctor, and to fuck knows who else about what he was doing clearly demonstrates he was in full possession of the knowledge that fucking Barb's dusty cooch was not True and Honest.
