Does anyone have an opinion as to whether Chris is likely to take this to trial or to accept a plea deal?
I'd think this really depends on how much of a hard charger the prosecutor is. I am trying to think about it like a normal human and my strategy would be is there any possible way I can get out of this without talking to a courtroom full of people about this retard fucking his mom?

Because seriously, is that something you'd want to do?

In one hand, he's delusional. On the other hand, he's lazy and usually averse to confrontation, so I find it easy to imagine him being badgered into accepting a plea deal -- not because it's the right choice, but just because other people are urging him to do it.

The detectives are going to trace the Chris analogue's activity to a site called "Lolcow Ranch" and its evil and callous owner Jeffery Sunn, (Ice-T will helpfully define "lolcow"). They're going to imply that the crime was egged on by the website, and Mariska Hargitay is going to have a speech about how the internet makes people into monsters.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury. . .this is a story about this retard who sits in front of you, and how he fucked his mom."

Still can't find any record of his mom being charged with anything, for anyone waiting to see if this was a "it takes two to tango" situation.

He definitely knows. If he's smart he won't acknowledge it. However, he might be forced to now that the only willing child is now arrested and legally, it's up to him to make decisions about Barb.
So I really don't know much about Cole and Barbs relationship, but I think he hates her, right? Wonder what kinda nuttiness that would entail..

Depends on how well of a job the attorney does at explaining it. If the attorney tells him "Yeah, you can get a year in jail and then parole, or you can get 20 years at minimum", Chris probably takes the deal. If they say "Well, you caaaaaan fight it, you might win, but you'll probably lose", Chris is just gonna hear "might win" and assume there's a 100% chance of victory.

The remaining variable is his hubris. Hard to picture Chris, CPU goddess and mayor of CWCville, agreeing to be locked up without his toys and Twitter. Not that fighting charges with this much evidence is rational, but neither is Chris.

I'm sure if his mom is somehow not determined to be an invalid then its possible, but as Nick said both she and he have to admit it happened.

What a giant shit show, truly. His mother and from his accounts Bob mistreat him for most of his young life and hides his fathers identity from him. He makes a career for himself by being an (albeit douchy) film critic and as soon as he thinks he's escaped the madness, his half-brother molests his mother while she's damn near braindead and will probably have to be left with the fallout.

Guys, if Chris Chan has to go to atrial, do you think they'll Harvey Weinstein him and show naked pictures to the jury. If so, do you think he'll look like this minus the big pendulous breasts?

That's really his out, that his mom, as fucked up as she is, just doesn't want him in prison and puts the kibosh on the prosecution. If Chris gets thrown in prison she's basically alone until she dies.

If I was Cole I would shopping book deals hard as fuck right now.

He does hate her, but if he allows that to cloud his judgement to put her somewhere safe where she is cared for, that makes him a shit human. Her mind is gone, and she has been violated horribly. One would hope that he could find some empathy.
