more from the Holo front: Kanata did a cooking stream, made omurice/omelette rice. Shared some of it with Coco. I knew she did the cooking stream but didn't know she shared it with Coco. Found out about it from a Chinese subbed clip that I went in looking to see if it was bugmen related. Scrolled through the twitters to see if the bugmen lost their shit, so far can't tell. The archive doesn't seem to be ratio'd by the bugmen, maybe they're too busy with FoxFriend and Baqua. Either way, links to things in the spoiler to keep the thread neat.

I sometimes pity the poor chinese fans who have to live with the deluded bugmen and their shitty govt. Imagine not being able to watch your fav Vtuber, have an entire division that you understood shitcanned, have one of the biggest Vtuber agencies pull completely out of your countryspace and you now have to resort to using tools that could get you social credited, have the local industry be handicapped for ideals, etc etc.. and all for what? Just so you can say your country has the biggest peepee? What a sad joke

Things in her discord get a lot more personal than they do elsewhere, and it's a more close knit community (well, kind of, there's still over 600 people in there.) She had people coming in, finding certain details about people in the community, and harassing them. VTuber discords in general are also often the target of gore spam and such, there was a period in 2020 when it was really common.

I think that the clippers (and viewers of the clippers) could just be the Taiwanese (as they speak Chinese too) which would explain the lack of a chimp out. I remember seeing in the comments of different translated clips talking about Taiwan and talking shit about China (I'm not going to be able to find it as I don't speak chink, you only have my word.) One clipper (Cinderella) has been posting about the Olympics with the most liked comment (around ~570 likes currently) saying
Google Translate (DeepL produces similar translation):

Although I'm sure that some decent chinks exist, I personally believe that the Chinese translated clips, and the audience, are attributed to the Taiwanese, which makes more sense to me.

Pekora did announce this back in her 2nd anniversary stream if im not mistaken . And looking at those chibis its a Turing Love cover.


Anyway as someone who watches Pekora regularly i noticed that she mostly collab on holomembers that wont get shipped to her. Like botan, towa, suisei, luna. I guess she never really a fan of shipping which i can agree. Shipping is cancer.

Disney's Black Widow is a PR nightmare (no money from China), their pandering Shang -Chi (which also no money from China) and obviously the upcoming black Little Mermaid will not get any penny from both domestic (America) and international (China unless they can use filter to make the entire cast white skin). Now they are pandering to animu girl then some Disney stan will release "black Moona" to celebrate diversity and let the culture war commence.

I found this GOLDEN parody on Youtube. sometime the fine line between shitposting, and reality is blurred.

ANYCOLOR Inc. released a statement today saying that they'll be strengthening their efforts to stop news publications pushing misinformation and false narratives against their talents. Including but not limited to legal action.


Probably just your usual PR, as you're never going to know how things are improving internally, and you're not going to know about active court cases until they aren't active anymore etc. Still, it serves as something of a nice reassurance.
