There's not likely to be any more to come out of this thread now, to be honest. Bella's gone to ground and it makes sense for Fiona to lie low, and Chris is obviously in prison. The next round of developments probably won't happen until Chris goes to trial. It may be unnecessary but it could be helpful for Fiona to consult with a lawyer as she had direct contact with Chris and did appear to be peripherally aware that Chris was getting intimate with Barb; jury's out on whether Bella will actually get subpoenaed (the police might not care about any of this and just want to focus on booking Chris for elder abuse, rape, incest and wire fraud) but if she does she almost certainly will drag Fiona into it.

The odds of this going to trial are extremely low. Chris is clearly screwed and any attorney, whether court appointed or private, is going to basically try to work out the best way for Chris to plead guilty in exchange for a punishment that satisfies the state -- and institutionalization would definitely be in the cards for someone as delusional as Chris.

A trial would be a shitshow for the county/state and would probably also be rather expensive if they have to subpoena witnesses from across the country, not to mention the amount of autists who will show up just to watch. They probably don't want that.

The only way a trial is going to happen is if the prosecutor is dead set on punishing Chris to the maximum.
