I’ll let the man speak for himself supposing he wants to leap into this dumpster fire of a thread but I don’t think null would arrange for two people to accompany Chris when he was unable to vet them from the other side of the world.

I've never been more painfully aware of generational differences. This lot of terminally online zoomers feel like they're operating on an entirely different brand of logic to terminally online millenials

I have thought about this a lot in the last year, and especially so over the last 24 hrs. I have no idea why this supposedly “terminally online” generation seems to have the lowest level of comprehension when it comes to Internet 101. Even Boomers, who are hilarious online in their own right, have more sense than your average Zoomer.

I wonder if it’s because so much of Zoomer Internet is compartmentalized via apps and social media in a way it wasn’t for older people. (ie: If you’re using one username on Instagram and then use it again on Reddit or TikTok, no one can link the two together because they exist in different spaces.) It might explain the lack of discretion and care w/r/t Zoomers leaving such an easily traceable Path of breadcrumbs all over the Internet. Isabella et al are hardly the first kids I’ve seen online who have such a shitty grasp of “be anonymous online.”

My other running theory is that this generation hasn’t been exposed to the physically dangerous consequences of being discovered online (ie kidnapping). All they know is the possibility of being cancelled — which so many of them think is easy to avoid if they hide behind trollsonas. Problem is, they are messy as fuck and don’t know how easy it is to link all their shit together.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tad disappointed in Fiona's reluctance to share her side of the story directly, but this situation has to be fairly soul-crushing. While it's likely she knew she probably shouldn't have been associated with Bella, I doubt she knew the full extent of Bella's actions. It does worry me that it's possible that she is just hiding some incredibly bad things in this situation as well, but I still don't think there's enough to suggest that confidently yet.

I guess my big concern here is the ambiguity. If Fiona doesn't willingly give her side of the story, a lot of people are going to try and get it through other means. I hope that when she calms down she's willing to come by and provide what she can.

Tbh, sometimes when I've been drinking and I get bored, I'll make a sport of going to a board and accusing a random person of being a glowboy. Y'know, just to fuck with 'em. Keep 'em on their toes. There's a big conspiracy there about there being government plants.

Okay - a few remaining questions:

1. Bella's motive - why was she initially trolling Chris? I think she probably didn't know that Chris was raping his mother until Julay at the earliest, so what the hell was she up to?
2. Bella's updated motive - she moved fucking fast to start covering her tracks. She had a what? 36 hour lead on the kiwis. And she'd already taken steps to "protect" her identity. I think that what someone said upthread about having Fiona release the recording was calculated. Fiona even said "I thought you said to drop it". It's likely she used Fiona's autism to gaslight her into thinking she understood Bella's instructions incorrectly.
3. How much did Bella know and for how long? We suspect she knew Tuesday that Chris had fulfilled his most degen fantasy, but I'd like confirmation.
4. Full, unedited chat logs - we need them. Fiona can give us hers, but likely won't because of fear/shame. I agree with other Kiwis that it would be pretty good for her to get out in front of this, but I also understand that she's terrified and humiliated already. Chris' is in some underpaid cyber investigator's office right now and likely won't see the light of day for months. And Bella will never, ever give them to us. So we're potentially shit out of luck there.
5. Where in the world is Louis? Unlike his big booba'd counterpart, he's stayed under the kiwi radar for the most part. I wonder what he knows and what info he may have. If he's a simp though, he probably won't turn on Bella, despite the fact that she's clearly already turning on him. Bella is in survival mode for sure.
6. Who are the rest of the trolls mentioned in the GiBi chat logs? This is both the least and most important question in my mind. Bella was clearly supported by a cast of 3 or 4 people.
