I dont know, from what i've seen:
Chris wasn't interested in fiona, Fiona got in contact with chris only after he was .... well barbgate
They had a facetime, where she fangirled on him (that was setup by Bella)

Wanted to meet him at EverFree
Bella was the one trying to get Chris to want Fiona

From what I understand though it appears Chris did this of his own volition, it's well known he's had a sexual attraction to Barb for years now. They may have had some hand in enabling this but it was likely inevitable eventually.

Yeah.
