Don't get me wrong, her parents are equally to blame, but I wonder where she'd be if she didn't have unrestricted access to the Internet.

While I am fully aware of how horrible and disgusting a person she is, I also wonder if she experienced trauma, herself, other than her poor upbringing.

(I am fairly new, so I'm unsure of proper KF etiquette, so I will either delete this/edit this post if it's not acceptable. If the following falls under that category, I apologize)

I used to also be a 4chan sperglord when I was in secondary schooling. Fuck, I may have been very close to ending up exactly what she became, if it wasn't for a hospitalization for mental health reasons. I had also been abused, sexually, by family members on several occasions.

While history of trauma doesn't excuse her actions, I DO wonder if she had experienced trauma of her own. That would help explain why she is like this. While the Internet may have been a highway to depravity, she started on a sideroad somewhere.

Most Based timeline would be that all the conflicting ween groups fighting each other during this shitshow turn out to be alphabet agencies from around the world fighting over chris to gain control of the dimensional merge

Bella everfree op was CIA, incest leak was a rival agency intervening to stop chris from having crystal with fiona thus preventing the americans from doing merge

if it helps any I'm not convinced of the veracity of those leaks, doesn't read a whole lot like True and Honest Chris and the timeline doesn't really line up, the timestamp for the BDSM convo is several days before the incest call that was apparently the first time Bella heard about the Chris / Barb ship.

Regarding Barb having dementia - I took Chris' admission that Barb was having occasional memories of being a child as a horrible sign. Not only is "sundowning" a dementia thing (as another user stated), so is mental regression. Having vivid memories of being 2 years old does not sound like an elderly woman's mind improving, it sounds like an elderly woman's mind creating false memories in moments of regression. If Barb is actually regressing like that, it makes what Chris did even worse if that's possible. He was basically molesting someone with the mind of a child, and the frail body of a person close(ish) to death. That's pretty fucked if you ask me
