Lastly what the fuck is he talking about with whole villages use to sign? I know Alexander Graham Bell and the Deaf community have been pissed at each other even while he's dead but I am unfamiliar and doubtful that signing was so universal.

Basically A. G. Bell had a deaf mother (and later a deaf wife) and thought it would be better to teach deaf kids how to lip read and speak instead of sign language. This was his main goal in life and he used his telephone money for it. There were issues with his approach but his intention was simply to have deaf people be able to communicate in English, which is and always will be far more widely spoken than ASL. Bell was especially concerned about how many deaf people were living in insular communities (i.e. Martha’s Vineyard) and tried to prevent deaf people from breeding with each other (ok this is eugenics for real but he was for encouraging deaf and hearing to get together NOT forcibly sterilizing them or legally preventing their marriages) and hanging out together at all. This understandably upset Deaf people and to this day they are salty that they live integrated into society instead of in special deaf-only towns. IMO even though some of his ideas were misguided, he did a lot for the deaf community. For example, he invented the first audiometer and Helen Keller, deaf/blind and an absolute legend, dedicated her autobiography to Bell for his help to both her personally and all deaf people.

Pretty late I know but here's my take. You probably assume my stance (and the Islamic stance) being that its degenerate and you'd be right.

On a level deeper than that I see this whole phenomenon being indicative of how there is no saving the modern world. The whole thing is corrosive. You'd think something like a 'trans hijabi' would be an oxymoron but the system always finds a way to subvert and co-opt anything that could oppose it. The only solution to the game of liquid modernity is to not play the game. Given enough time any participant in it will be assimilated in one way or another.

Part of me feels bad for people like that though. Sure they're disgusting but on some level it could be argued they're encouraged by their society to act this way. Things like this are why I personally think Muslims shouldn't come to the west. Moving from religious countries to places where these abominations run rampant just for a better chance at material wealth is a Faustian bargain.

The country with the largest population of Catholics in the world is Brazil. Transgender people in Brazil are allowed to change their legal name and sex without getting surgery or professional evaluation, and free Am-Holes are provided by Brazil's national health agency. Countries where a majority of the population are practicing Catholics are also not troon-free zones.
