I am actually inclined to agree, and it's largely an issue created by the community as a whole. There is a strong view amongst both groups that people outside their isolated community are suspect, therefore they limit information about their own internal schism, which then heightens suspicion of their group, which feeds right back to the community finding those outside it suspect.
There are a lot of quiet conversations amongst the non-power hungry group about expanding itself and unfreezing things. Something the power-hungry group has done a -lot- to sabotage, Groups like the ADL can go -fuck- themselves. And I will happily engage in conspiracy theory-crafting around it, because every time the latter group tries to defrost relations, somehow an antisemitic attack just happens to occur. Directly to the group trying. Out of nowhere. And the ADL and their other allies always are right there to broadcast it.
It's not just Blacks who are a bucket of crabs.

I was listening to that too! Their show just keeps getting worse and worse. The only reason I still sometimes listen to it is because I already had a Rush 24/7 subscription from back before he died. It was a ripoff even back then - their "complete archive" of Rush's program, which was the main reason I joined, only goes back to like 2014.
They'd better start giving people a way to listen to ALL his shows from the beginning or else they will lose a lot of customers really fast. Why they don't I have no idea, but part of me believes they already expect that mass exodus and that's why they're squeezing in such a ridiculous amount of commercials into the current show while they still can.

Yes, that's true. However, the Orthodox are an example of what I mean as well. They're perfectly happy to use (many would argue ABuse) the tax-paid resources and processes of the state while shirking the wider responsibilities. So it is understandable why the sympathy towards them from other segments of the community appeared to be quite limited.
Again, in a way it's actually admirable. Just let everybody do it, all I ask.

Again, agreed. I am not going to argue there aren't issues here that need to be addressed. Hell, I could break down fairly at length the roots of those issues. It's a case where I understand, even sympathize, with the group. But at the same time, sympathy doesn't override the fact that issues are in fact real and should be addressed. I get much the same reaction to the black communities which have completely sympathetic reasons for how they got where they are... but that doesn't change the fact they commit a ton of fucking crime.

It's going to be absolutely bizarre after I ranted about BLM for 15 months now, the one thing saving me/us from COVID passports will probably be the black community only being vaccinated at 33% or less. That will be the reason why we won't see vaccine requirements in the US (at least many of them.)

No, as cathartic as it would be. As good for the soul as it would be. It's -too- easy to attack him over. By keeping the presser as he did, he deprived the mainstream media of an easy attack route that won't hurt them with either independents or their own watchers.
As much as I'd fucking LOVE DeSantis to do it. It wouldn't be good political strategy.

His presser was clearly written in conjunction with a political analyst. Every word of it was designed to make covering it impossible. If the media wants to show it, they have to hurt themselves. If they want to cover it, they have to hurt themselves. They can't -not- cover it either because something like this will gain its own momentum and thus their watchers would notice it's missing... which hurts themselves.
It's designed to make the media have to choose in what -way- they want to hurt themselves as it deprived them of an easy focus.

Time for the Game of Chicken. The Federal Government will leverage its might to hurt Florida. DeSantis will counter by making it as politically painful as he can. As an opening volley, that presser was a masterclass. Nothing to latch onto, nothing to use against him, impossible to not cover, all pain.
Edit: its also worth noting, the longer this goes on the more it hurts the Biden Admin with -everyone-. Even Democrats, despite being far from "States Rights" supporters, traditionally dislike the fuck out of the Federal Government abusing the states. -Nobody- likes to see a bigger party bullying a smaller party. It will start out with support along ideological lines, but the longer this goes on the worse it gets to continue.
