He actually inherited it, and he's quite fine weight wise. He did however overwork himself during those days(house was in a tight spot). That definitely did smth. And I have accepted it since day one, in fact I'm still rather bummed over his lack of safety. With your dad? I mean we've known for decades fat people fare worse and that was before coof. Its barely breaking news. Its clear and proven. Accept that your dad did this to himself and probably won't change at this point. Just spend time with him and make the most of it
Nigga wut? I need the whole story, cuz this sounds fuckin hilarious. You can be like that lady who spent the last year and a half of her life curled up in fear, only to die to a truck as she first ventured out.
I don't know if they still do it, but my dad went to LabCorp and had one done. He ordered it online himself. I don't know how much it cost to do it, though.Forgive my ignorance can I just go to an urgent care and request an antibody test?
I think medically speaking, we tend to write-off the long-term impact of doing so. either way, I hope your Dad lives as long and as healthy as he can from here on out. Losing a parent sucks, but it's part of life and the natural order of things. Which doesn't negate the hurt it causes. But I do think it's a milestone, for want of a better word, of adulthood. He actually inherited it, and he's quite fine weight wise. Motherfuckers paywalled it...![]()

Okay, so it was actually nine months of lockdown, at the least... but she died as she lived. Trying to save herself from covid.

ughh all those story remember me last year with the same scenario but with mask instead of the vax. If it not a sign that the story will repeat itself (relockdown when the magical vaccine won't stop anything and covidian will scrap to find some kind of scapegoat rather than accept the truth)I will eat my hat.New "Vaccine denier ends up in hospital and is preyed upon by vultures- I mean journalists- to push their narrative" just dropped!

No fucking way this lady is 44. She looks like a grandmother and is obviously obese. I can't get over how fat and deformed some Americans are getting, it's terrifying. The amount of elderly people I see who are straight up disabled from a lifetime of being over weight is way too high.

To add onto this, the Red Cross will do an antibody test when you donate blood, and they'll post the results on their website for you about a week or two later. You'll need an account with them if you don't already have one, but once you do, you can view the stats for all your previous donations, including your coof antibody tests.I'm not American so idk who would you need to ask, but I do know donating blood will get you the test.
Apparently the Red Cross ended this policy in either June or July, around the 25th. if you had it before you can still see your results, though. To add onto this, the Red Cross will do an antibody test when you donate blood, and they'll post the results on their website for you about a week or two later. Plus, y'know, it's just a good thing to do. There's always a need for blood, and I believe the coof scare has hurt the supply even more as some people have been too scared of getting sick to donate. I go as often as I can, every two months.
Admittedly, I'd be kind of pumped to get some random hospital trip souvenier magnet, but I also tore out all the free gifts from different charities asking me for money I would never give. I'm horrible, and I just love random tat.Last time I was in the hospital the nurse was actually fairly nice and helpful. Then on my way out, after she pulled out my IVs, she handed me a whole pile of advertising merchandise for her online store. I'm not even kidding, I left with magnets and brochures and shit to buy sweatshirts and other tourist garbage. I was so sick and out of it I just took it and left but Jesus christ lady.
I hate clutter. I don't need magnets and bumper stickers from a store I've never been to and will never buy from. It's like doing free advertising without even caring about what you're advertising. Kinda silly. But I get it, people love their free branded bottle openers and Frisbees and shit. There's a reason they make it in the first place right? I just really didn't need an armful of garbage as I'm leaving the hospital after having a seizure. Not the right time lmaoAdmittedly, I'd be kind of pumped to get some random hospital trip souvenier magnet, but I also tore out all the free gifts from different charities asking me for money I would never give. Fair enough, the bumper sticker would be useless, but at least I never had to pay for a magnet or a bookmark.I hate clutter. What a way to go. This woman is now the protagonist of some cliched Isekai story.![]()

Huh, you're right, so they're not. I don't see why not since they're already taking blood samples for the other tests they do. Are the tests too expensive or cumbersome to run on every donation? Aside from something on their FAQ page that says they stopped antibody tests on June 25th, I can't find anything explaining the reasoning behind this.Apparently the Red Cross ended this policy in either June or July, around the 25th. if you had it before you can still see your results, though.
Possibly. Maybe they don't think there will be a need for the antibody plasma anymore. To be a bit conspiratorial, they might not want people to know they are already immune to covid because then they would be less inclined to take the shot.Huh, you're right, so they're not. Regardless, blood donations are still a good thing to do.
