From 2016, but still interesting:In the US, a lot of the food there is higher quality than what is found at larger grocery stores.
I know weve hashed and rehashed but expanding a size range isnt just adding fabric. Scaling a pattern past a certain size just doesnt work, and what you can scale up takes months of trial and error. Shien and other fast fashion brands aren't going to care enough.
One company I like, charm patterns, has been working on scaling her pattern range, and it's taken close to a year and several beta tests. Lose weight fatties
Oh god... that combo of acanthosis nigricans, hairiness, acne, and just looking fucking dirty. I need a showerMaybe I’m just so scared from seeing fatties like Tess in string bikinis, but this girl didn’t look the absolute worst, at least the high rise waistline looks like it’s actually working and isn’t being folded over by fat.
Also the hairy chest on the second gorl

This is why plus size brands tend to use a lot more stretch waistbands and knit fabrics than straight size brands do. If your customer has much fatter arms than you designed a top for, they might still be able to wear it if the sleeves have that extra bit of give, whereas woven fabric just won't work at all. Obviously not every normal sized woman will fit properly in every straight sized garment, but at least a size 8 won't launch some teary social media campaign about how the brand is lying about their sizing and literally gaslighting fatties if they try on a shirt and the sleeves don't fitThis and at some point it's not a recognizable human body you're designing a pattern for, it's just lumps of misshapen adipose tissue, which differs with every deathfat. Sizes are relative anyway; a tall thin woman wearing a size six obviously will fit differently into a dress than a chubby short woman wearing a six.

Because so many of these fat people never seem to have (real) jobs its really glaringly obvious how out of touch it makes them in regards to how companies operate.View attachment 2415170
Danielle, yet again, is bitching at clothing companies to be more size-inclusive.
She is a self-admitted size 5X, up to 7X depending on the brand.
...because losing weight would NEVER solve your issues...
Yet again you ask?
Why yes, she has a history of doing so:

Skinny people are the problem and companies must sizetarpsgarments to cater to my needs.
It's the only option---losing weight is not!
..but remember: she's not complaining.
She also states in another video that "thin privilege" enables skinny shoppers to buy the precious deathfat clothing (for an oversized look):

Danielle proudly displays her entitlement whilst complaining that clothing companies should include size 5X.
According to Danielle though, depending on the brand, she needs a size 7X.

Forget trying to lose weight.

So...we've labelled HAES/FA as a death cult, right?
Aldi produce is consistently excellent.* It seems like instead of selling a dozen varieties of mediocre apples, for example, they go for a smaller selection of better quality specimens. I doubt April is buying out the Aldi produce department, though. They also have decently tasty frozen or heat and eat things, like pizza and pasta dishes, which are great on a busy weeknight but not exactly the healthiest options. The quality of their candy, especially the chocolates, is also very good. I'd imagine April is excited about the cheap snacks, European chocolates, and gigantic frozen pizzas and lasagnas, rather than the affordable produce. In the US, a lot of the food there is higher quality than what is found at larger grocery stores.
They seem to not understand that the cost is merely due to the fact it takes more raw material to cover their massive bloated frames. My working theory is that upon reaching a crossroads between an extreme weight that is in direct disproportion to self awareness they loose their ability to grasp topology. Why do fatties always complain about how expensive Torrid is getting but none of them ever make the same complaints about fast food also getting more expensive.
Y'all will gladly go to a drive thru and pay 10 dollars for a meal multiple times a week but then you'll complain that 40 dollars for a blouse is too much.
This is also why trader joe's is good, it's owned by aldi and uses the exact same business model just with different branding/marketing.Aldi produce is consistently excellent.* It seems like instead of selling a dozen varieties of mediocre apples, for example, they go for a smaller selection of better quality specimens. *For any other grape addict Farmers who can't stand to pay $7/lb for tasteless mushy blobs of sadness, Aldi's grapes are always awesome and they're really cheap.
Danielle is a prime example of why I can't get into youtube/vlog/livestream lolcows. I'm not going to pause my music and spend 10-20 minutes listening to someone whose face looks like it's bouncing around on the top ball of a snowman of adipose tissue bitch about how she can't buy crappy fast fashion in Clydesdale sizes. It's much faster and easier to laugh at absurd text and still photos without wanting to off myself over having to listen to annoying fat girl voice.View attachment 2415170

It's not though, the cheapass material that plus brands use barely factors into the higher prices. Even the pricier plus brands are a sea of polyester, its not like anyone is going to waste nice silk or linen for things that are inevitably gonna get soaked in roll sweat, require intense laundering that more delicate fabrics can't take, and quickly get discarded after the next 30 lbs come on. The real issue is with technical design/pattern drafting, which is exponentially more difficult for plus because of all the wildcards that obesity adds to the mix, and is normally done by western workers, not the destitute Bangladeshi women paid a pittance to actually sew the clothes. They seem to not understand that the cost is merely due to the fact it takes more raw material to cover their massive bloated frames. Have any of these shrill bitches ever setcloven hooffoot inside a thrift store? Any thrift store in the United States, whether part of a big chain like Goodwill or a smaller, independent shop, is absolutely crammed to the gills with enormous clothing of all styles, quality, and provenance. Rack upon rack of gigantic jeans, tent-like dresses, and t-shirts that could double as the mizzen sail of HMS Victory.
That the deathfats continue to mention this as evidence of their systematic oppression when a visit to literally any thrift store on the continent would easily disprove their claim is characteristically lazy. It's definitely a trait of lazy and unintelligent people to assume that everyone else on the planet is even more lazy and unintelligent than they are, and deathfats are no exception. I don't know if they actually expect to be believed, or if they're just shouting into the void in between bites, but it's galling. These bitches love to hear themselves complain, and they expect everyone, faceless corporations and individuals alike, to bend over backwards catering to their every whim and desire, but they can't even be bothered to fact check what they are saying. I almost have to believe that some anonymous deathfat visited a single thrift store sometime during the Clinton administration, became distracted by the siren song of Ronald McDonald before noticing the ample (heh heh, forgive me) selection of clothing for the Customer of Size, and became outraged at the violence and discrimination visited upon them, thus spending the next few years bitching to anyone within earshot about their trauma, and would you please pass the gravy? Somehow, with the advent of social media, this metastisized into the fantasy that thrift stores across the United States are controlled by a cabal of skinny bitches who think that deathfats don't even deserve to wear affordable secondhand clothing while being shoved into the ovens.
