the insanity plea works if you dont understand what you did was wrong and the fact that Chris actively tried to hide it by trying to keep it "confidential" shows that he knew what he was doing was wrong. he will definitely try to use his autism as a means of getting out of this but it wont work.

There really isn't an "insanity plea" that people would try to use to escape their sentence. It's not like you won't go to jail if you're ruled mentally incompetent to stand trial, you'll just be put in a mental hospital and medicated for your sentence instead. If he consistently shows his delusional behavior he may get a court appointed psychiatric review and they'll probably come back with the reasonable answer we all know: he's mega autistic and deluded and will reoffend somehow.

Depending on your perspective on rehabilitation for untreated adult autists that's good or bad. For Chris there is no good outcome, but being in a mental hospital is probably better long-term than actual prison.

So my knowledge of the US court system is limited to what I've seen in TV and in movies... but aren't they suppose to keep a record of the court proceedings and what was said? Isn't there a way to get access to that info?

He might WANT to off himself in there (but I'd be doubtful about even that- I'd bet that Chris is too egotistical to ever be suicidal), but jails/prisons are designed to be suicide-proof- No potential hanging-points, no access to drugs or poisons, extremely limited access to sharp objects. You need to be pretty ingenuitive and/or determined, and willing to undergo some grim shit, to off yourself in custody- Chris is way too incompetent, weak-willed and generally soft and squidgy to be able to top himself, even if he wanted to.

At best, of we're lucky, we may see some dramatic-but-woefully-inept, grand "suicidal" gesture, like trying to drink shampoo, or hang his 350lb ass with a rope made of toilet paper, or something similarly retarded. At worst, he'll give himself the runs for a few days.

I feel like if you are in court for something and make it clear you are very anxious to go back home and secure some unspecified stuff, you're making it very likely your place will get searched by the police in case there is evidence there you were planning on destroying. I don't think they would charge him multiple times for different sex acts committed in the same, uh, session. But I would expect that each occasion of it occurring could be a seperate charge. Then again, it would be very difficult to prove each occasion beyond the ones he described in text. This is a good question though, I would guess they would go for whatever charges they can be confident of and if those are enough to seperate him from the general public they will not go after more things that are too hard to prove unless it would have an impact on his sentence.
