As long as he knew that this was wrong and did it anyway he will be considered accountable. Court considered even more insane people accountable for their crimes.

During the trial, Chris will absolutely constantly be interrupting whoever's testifying to correct them. Even if his lawyer tells him to stay quiet no matter what's being said, he won't be able to help himself and will constantly call out his own answers and being a nuisance. It'd be perfect for the defense because it proves that Chris is incompetent and shouldn't be put in prison. The judge and prosecutor might just do it so they don't have to deal with his Sonichu shit any more.

I think he'll be held accountable. Like I said you literally cannot get off crimes by being insane, you just sometimes get sentenced to prison with shrinks instead of prison with BBC. I think he'll have to spend part or all of his statutory 10 years + whatever add-ons he gets getting seen by a psychiatrist or incarcerated/committed in a mental ward.
Weens have been calling the local government forever to report Chris for various real and imagined crimes. Their constant trolling probably made the county ignore the Chandlers as much as possible.
No, he is high-functioning autist, which can be used as an argument in Virginia court, but it's not "he is a retard and didn't know what he was doing", since Chris is clearly not mentally disabled - he graduated school, graduated college, has drivers license and even though he was bad at all of those, he wasn't bad enough to be considered unfitting.

I wasn't trying to blame Null for tis nightmare of a situation, I was just saying that his response to it really caught me off guard because Null was one of the few people Chris actually trusted- so god only know how much Null has learned that we'll likely never hear about. I appreciate that Null was trying to pull CWC back from the brink... but I just think that he was already a decade too late for that, everything was building to this for a while and Null's shock at the events that unfolded just caught be off guard.

I think it's less that he thinks what he's doing is wrong but more that he knows it's illegal since Chris believes that incest should be recognized as a valid form of love as long as children are not being made. Like Chris believes what he is doing is good for Barb and believes that he would not deserve punishment for it.
If Chris got out on bail and went back to the house, he would start realizing that none of that is ever going to be the same. Prison has distracted him with unfamiliar routines. Didn't Bob have a gun?
