Ultimately it seems Frog was faced with the choice of either looking like a big idiot by keeping WC by his side, or a slightly less big idiot with WC 'divorced' from him,

You can see from the comments on the latter video, there's a good argument that indeed much of CG and Frog's audience were already against WC, and Frog himself was one of the last to give in and finally admit that they were gay.

But in his defence (?), he does seem to have tried to part with them on good terms, whereas they immediately spazzed out with all their might and shat themselves thoroughly and irrevocably.

The way I remember it, there was bad blood between Ro and Anna since the Ellen "joke" Ro made. Anna was still mad at him and Ro was butthurt he had to apologize.
I remeber watching a JACK show where Cecil and Jon are laughing about something Ro said (maybe the Centipede cover on cashgrab that Ro got before Anna crowdfunded it with simp dollars) and Anna got pissy and told them how bad she felt about him joking about her dead sister.
Probably this soured things between WC and Cecil and Jon too, so in the end EVS landed in a place where he had to either choose his Ro-tards or the JACK crew. I remember him landing between Anna, Jon and Cecil at some livestream and being shouted down over WC to the point he had to either GTFO or end the stream in blind panic.
 
It took some digging but I went back through the thread on a trip down memory lane about the CG civil war from last year. The first kiwi to bring attention to Warcampaign going after Anna again was @Yosha in a post here.

In the next post I report on Anna's Vampirella variant cover campaign here. @WhimsicalTrolli would find the first piece of evidence of Warcampaign(?) harassing Anna here, although I was skeptical since it didn't bear any tags and assumed it could be a old sock account in a post here.

All of this took place on April 10th on page 784 of this thread.

It wasn't until the following day on page 786 I apologized to Trolli since they were right about Warcampaign harassing Anna in a post here, which was coming from the now defunct Wardong Media twitter account.

From April 10th to May 29th (page 784 - 954) there was a cold war in Comicsgate with various skirmishes on streams and twitter between the Anna simps, Cecil-Malin loyalists and Warcampaign until on the 29th all hell broke lose in a post here.

I don't have the time to go back and read through everything but those seeking clarification on the timeline of events can feel free to do so at their own leisure. Much of the Live with Liam streams were summarized by @Mister Dongs and much of the tweets were screenshot and archived by various users.

I'm so perplexed by your continued involvement in this small internet subculture. I mean your motive for involvement was tenuous to begin with. You didn't create comics or any media related to comics, you weren't a writer, you weren't an artist, I guess you may have been a fan but I never once heard you discuss the content of a book or mention any favorites so I doubt that. It was speculated that your goal was simply to gain influence in any group of people you could find, and given your behavior since then I'm inclined to believe that's the case. You were often referred to as a "social climber", and that description seems exceedingly apt.
Now we find ourselves here, years later, after you've seemingly given up on your political ambitions and returned to this small internet subculture, this time not to garner influence, but simply to wallow in scorn. You, who was once considered an eloquent speaker, are now reduced to posting WarCampaign-tier memes and slinging Biden-tier insults at people you'll never know on an obscure forum. The Warcramps were the absolute worst single aspect of Scivergate. The major piece of irony in that situation for me was that the Anna cover was probably the one thing I would imagine hardcore fans of CG would naturally object to. WC, being the raging tardnado that they were decided to take it out on Anna primarily, then Dynamite, then only after expulsion did they finally go after EVS who ultimately was responsible for allowing it. Frog being frog permitted the maximum amount of damage possible before cutting ties with WC and Dynamite. It was the biggest window into his personality we've seen so far.

And Ethan's breakup from WC was extremely protracted and prolapsed from what I can recall. Keep in mind that before the Anna affair the constant stream of gay rape memes the wall-to-wall spergouts was perfectly fine for the Sciverfrog brand. It was loyalty above everything else, as long as it translated into profits. EVS famously pointed to the Vestige poster he had hanging up on the wall during one of his stream sessions with Ro saying "That's my heart." For a minute it seemed like Ro might have been able to salvage his operation, but he was adamant in refusing to apologize to Anna. If he had bent the knee I have zero doubt he would have been the commandant once again. As it was, the optics were finally bad enough to potentially cost Frog money. It was not a decision based on principle but one based on expedience.

Many of you might be annoyed when folks like me or the Newmans start ripping in to Ethan, but it's only a reminder of who it is you're dealing with. If there was more resistance to the false propaganda of persecution, the self-aggrandizement disguised as tongue-in-cheek humility and the gaslighting agitprop used to swipe at anyone who has a problem with his methods, I wouldn't feel the need to pipe up. It has to be said again and again, because it seems like people are willing to forget not out of forgiveness (which would require an admission) but out of a desire to larp as being part of something that has meaning. It doesn't, it's just money in the bank for you know who.

It seemed to me that Anna really got on War Campaign's radar when she gave her honest review on Cyberfrog. She pissed a lot of people off when instead of saying that it was the greatest thing since the King James Bible, she said it was "meh". I looked and her review was in September 2019 and she even did a video a few days later to talk about the backlash she got.

War Campaign got dumped when they started kicking up fuss about EVS' continued under-the-table links to Dynamite, which TSWG dropped major breadcrumbs too when she was boasting all over the internet about getting her tumblerina Vampirella cover.

The real split was triggered when War Campaign became the arbiters of "CG Quality" and went out of their way to make fun of her Vampirella cover. Curiously so for such an inconsequential thing. That's when it became open war with sides declared, so to speak.

personally, I think they got dumped when EVS finally saw that they were starting to mess with his money by causing a rift between Cecil, John, himself and the fans. So he had to make a choice stay with these 40+ year old superfans who make dildo memes and attack anyone who doesn’t agree with their version of CG or stick with Cecil and John who are two major components of his show and bring some entertainment factor to his show? The choice was quite easy, I’m surprised that it took EVS that long to make it.

I always thought that was just lazy misdirection on Pan's part. I didn't think anyone actually believed it. Being pathological liars was a big part of their schtick.

He gave them every chance from what I remember. Malin was ready for blood over the Anna cover attack and the splash damage onto them. I recall Ethan trying to talk him down saying that at the end of the day they were customers. Maybe, being the retards they are, WC took that as a sign to double down on the attacks. I have a feeling Malin probably had a confab with EVS shortly after essentially saying it's them or us.

Periodic low effort entertainment, usually when I'm in line at a grocery store, or some other occasion.
It took me the longest time to understand that logic, reason, persuasive classical arguments - were absolutely meaningless in this domain.
You have an emotionally underdeveloped audience that has cultivated an adolescent taste, they want to believe that their desires to consume vapid media has some larger cultural significance.
Get great showmen like EVS who are willing to pander to their juvenile tastes and proclivities, and it's a proven recipe for a handful of the ordained to extract a significant amount of wealth.

Ironically the Anti-SJWs of which CG are a subset, have habituated the need and desire and to be triggered over and over again.

At this point I'm largely curious to see what the breaking point for the super backers are, if there is some threshold where they absolutely rebel or if those ~1,500 will dip into their wallets indefinitely.

The minutia of the personal dramas between the various personalities is irrelevant to me.
