The Leftist biases of Panzer and Pacifica were quite obvious but I would say Yagoda is pretty cursed ending. And apparently the TNO devs are reworking Sablin to be more...in line to his historical beliefs and not "Wholesome 100 commie".

Its more "Pacifica" than "Panzer" in this case due to someone having a boner for soviet history and certain personalities associated with it. Panzer is a neocon - the mod meant nothing more to him than "hurr durr muh writing career" - and it shows by doing almost jack shit regarding the mod development.

Taking a look at the ingame Communist russian reunifiers, it seems more like a "TANKIE BAD LIBCOM GOOD" situation the likes of which can be observed on places like raddle.me and any anarchist subreddit in [modern day}; they routinely portray any authoritarian socialist leader more edgy than Zhukov as an evil, cartoony depiction of a generic eastern european dictator, while painting utopian socialists and anarchists as entities impervious to all criticism and le epic wholesome chungus, whatever other shitty reddit metamacro they have. Same would have happened to Suslov if it wasn't for Freddy's "girl"boner for him

Fair since Yagoda IRL was responsible for purging supposed fifth columnists in the soviet union, as well as he fact that he is ethnically JEWISH in a nazi victory scenario basically gives him more beef with National Socialist political entities ingame

I thought they were too busy working on TT and several different ingame monitors about the organ conditions of some german politician than to rework already existing politicians in russia let alone germany (still waiting on the playable DSR path)
 
I would say there is a major bias towards anarchism, since something like the Siberian Black Army would never exist in reality the way it does in game. There's a more general bias in favour of Russia in general given the superhuman economic feats a bunch of warlords can achieve in a few years.

I also think that the Nazis have been made a bit cartoonish with nonsense like Atlantropa and Himmler trying to nuke the world, which again indicates a certain bias. The Nazis were bad enough without turning them into Bond villains. The nuclear threat would be better represented as a cold war where one mistake could start a world war, as it almost did in the Cuban Missile Crisis. If Goebbels were still alive a plot where he's a crazy war hawk who wants to launch a pre-emptive strike on the USA would make more sense.

Returned to this old account for the CWC business, but I thought I'd ask a bit in this thread: has there been any notable mention of a few specific mods like Godspeed: A Flame for Winter, Spartakus: World in Revolution?
I hardly remember the specifics, but I was decently immersed in the community of those two, definitely a dev for Spartakus at one point, and maybe helped out with Godspeed. Was about 1-2 years ago, what I'd call the Hoi4 community's golden age.

Can't offer too much information because my memory is shit, but it seemed chill enough. I do remember both of those mods (correct me if I'm wrong) being in with the coop and wider scene, though, so who knows.
Otherwise, I posted in TNO's server a lot and was damn close to applying, knew a few devs.

All of this stuff is utterly surreal, feel like I dodged a grooming bullet or fifty. Now I play CK3, sure do hope Panzer's got a better hold on his community this time.

Meinhof is completely insane and launches massive purges in Germany. I would say there's more a specific bias towards Russia and anarchism than the far left in general. Gus Hall is also supposed to be terrible when his content comes out.

I’d agree that maybe leftist bias isn’t all that prevalent outside of Russia but Leftist Italy teasers made it look like a wholesome path. Also Freddy was the dev of Iberia before leaving.

Gus Hall is only portrayed as bad because he had a negative opinion on gay rights, they'll probably have Angela Davis as the "completely good for the country, equal rights, gay rights" communist, and the Center NPP is already the Social Democracy good guys.

But according to the leaked design plans America can eventually have an Anarchist leader who crashes the entire country, so who knows.
