Critical Race Theory Megathread

From fresh TDS on crt, and role of GOP in it

Cut and pasted from Wikipedia, right? Guess that’s the definitive last word on it. You must be right, nations that had a centuries-old tradition of feeding thousands of people into the meat grinder after watching a third or more of their armies die of dysentery and typhoid on the typical campaign must have been fucking terrified of malaria. Not to mention Bismarck gathering the heads of Europe in 1885 to divide up the colonization of Africa for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
Oh, and let’s not forget… one of the first military expenditures of the Continental Congress, around 1775, was for $300 to buy quinine for Washington’s troops. So yeah… I think you and I are going to have to disagree on the whole ‘malaria kept Europe from colonising Africa until the late 1800‘s‘ thing.
Wikipedia has its references that are also linked. You are the only source you are citing.

"Nations with centuries-old tradition of feeding thousands of people into the meat grinder" being collectively fine with not colonizing Africa because they could inadvertently step on each other’s toes definitely makes more sense than it being because they would suffer more deaths due to disease than it was worth.

All this talk of Malaria supposedly preventing colonisation of Africa misses the fact that it was endemic throughout Europe, from some time in the 3000s BCE until the 1970s. It's not a tropical disease.
It's not just malaria as Soy_King noted. Also Europe wasn't colonizing its marshy areas with malaria. It made life hard for the people in the areas it affected and was something to be avoided as much as possible.

The newest CRT textbooks have been arriving lately. They're called "an inclusive look at Black History" and holy shit are their simultaneously lol worthy and infuriating at the same time.

On the one hand the part of my rational brain knows that this is a massive pile of horseshit and half truth meant to make black people into even bigger martyrs, and encourage more hate against white people.

On the other hand, my god if you wanted to cast all black people as stupid neanderthals incapable of doing ANYTHING right then this book is for you. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. that it claims black people did was undone by the superior EBIL WHITY. Like, everything, all their "advanced societies" and "scientific achievements" were wiped out by some Average Joe managing to enslave all of them and destroy their entire society. It's some next tier WE WUZ KANGZ shit.

I'm guessing they skipped over George Washington Carver, their only real, lasting W.

CRT is just an evolved version of the desperate struggle to justify why blacks don't perform as well as other races. At one point it was "standardized testing favors whites (and er... practically every race except black...)", and poor education, and too few black role models. But their limitations became difficult to deny when after decades, after every effort, in every circumstance and social stratum black people still failed to perform while other races did fine, including immigrants who barely knew the language.

But we can't admit that black people are less intelligent, and therefor have an innately poorer chance of success in society. If we admitted that we would have to offer them help, like we do with the mentally disabled. We would have to pay them all a living wage and they would quit their jobs and celebrate and reproduce, so we have even more of this race of mentally disabled people. "But why can't we just murder them all?" is a retarded question.

This would destroy the country, so polite society is forced to come up with increasingly bizarre ways to explain it, to rival the explanations from the Hotep crowd. You would think whites put out a literal anti-black force field. Whites, mind you, not every single other race except blacks, because that would get people thinking about the nature of it all. The damage done to white people would be nothing compared to the damage done to society if we openly admitted black people's limitations, even as they stare us more intensely in the face with each passing year. It doesn't have to be this way. We could just ignore it, but what started as a simple denial of facts has grown into outright mania.

(not all black people etc. i imagine it's a small number of genetic groups that bring the entire "black" race down)

Bill Maher had Ben and a literal CIA Nigger on his show last night about this.

I have a feeling CIA Nigger was instructed to start drama for the lulz since he agrees with Ben's definition of CRT fully. And then goes into how his great grand pappy got pwned by the KKK or some shit. And then at the end, tried to redefine CRT into like teaching slavery more and more in history class.

Imagine being such a smug cunt that he made Ben look sympathetic and better. And many liberals were turned off by him in the comments section. And Bill's audience is filled with NPC fags.

Ben made a great point with pointing out that Derrick Bell believed Brown v. Board of Education is just a way to entrench white power. That shocks people, but it's straight out of CRT, and when it becomes a part of the goals of education, then things like grades, tests, gifted programs, advanced classes, treating kids the same all goes by the wayside because they're part of entrenching white power. Asians doing well is part of it somehow too. It's so circular.

The cognitive dissonance of a glow in the dark literal spook, the embodiment of all evil except for his skin color to Maher's audience telling them it's not OK to be white was probably too much for them.

Yeah, it’s good to read the fine print on these “bans.” Like in Florida, it’s just CRT without actually calling it CRT, which is a distinction without a difference. Ronnie D is just hoping nobody reads past the headlines, which is a common theme of all his “baste” accomplishments. Thing is, Republican donors universally want CRT but the base despises it so they hope they can issue a ban while still teaching the material. Going to be interesting to see how this plays out as the band aren’t going to hold up.

Atlanta mother files complaint against elementary school after principal segregated students based on race

An Atlanta mother filed a federal complaint against her daughter's elementary school after learning the school segregates the children based on race. According to the Atlanta Black Star, Kila Posey filed the complaint with the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights.
Posey claims the principal at Mary Lin elementary school has introduced a racial segregation policy, causing great concern to students and parents. "We've lost sleep like trying to figure out why would a person do this," Posey told local TV news station WSB. She and her attorney believe the racial segregation policy directly violates Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The principal who allegedly put this practice into place is Sharyn Briscoe. Posey immediately protested the policy. "First, it was just disbelief that I was having this conversation in 2020 with a person that looks just like me — a Black woman," Posey said. "It's segregating classrooms. You cannot segregate classrooms. You can't do it."
Posey discovered the racial segregation policy by accident when inquiring about switching her daughter into another classroom. When the principal denied the transfer request, the reason stated was that the requested classroom was not for black children.
"She said that's not one of the Black classes, and I immediately said, 'What does that mean?' I was confused. I asked for more clarification. I was like, 'We have those in the school?' And she proceeded to say, 'Yes. I have decided that I'm going to place all of the Black students in two classes,'" Posey said.
Posey wants the principal and complicit administrators to be removed for their part in enacting this racial segregation policy. The US Department of Education is currently investigating the issue.

Well I for one am glad CRT is promoting segregation. I sure as shit don't want my kids going to school in a racial jungle.

We have to stop advancing as a society because blacks can’t keep up, and they can’t just suck it up and admit that’s the case.
Isn't that the plot of Atlas Shrugged?

I'm surprised Bill Maher hasn't been cancelled yet. Dude's a lefty twat, but he's way too based on thing like freedom of speech and religious extremism.

I'm always amused when these shrieking morons lay some kind of claim of insight into American history, but when you ask them to describe the Credit Mobilier Scandal, the Compromise of 1877, the Yazoo Land Scandal, the Assassination of William McKinley, or the more esoteric bits of American history like the 'Ladies of Newport' incident, they'll look at you as if you started speaking Urdu to them.

But they presume to have even on wit of comprehension with regard to the legal, economic, moral, or practical disputes over the Peculiar Institution.

CRT claiming to tell you the 'real story' of American history is akin to teaching that the Holocaust was the only relevant cause of WW2 and the only thing of note that even happened during it. And even then, only focusing on Anne Frank and Auschwitz.

Isn't that what they teach in American schools already? That was certainly the focus when I went to school.

I wonder if Steve Bannon's claim will be proven right in a few days. On 15th of August schools will start again and he claimed that this will trigger the parents of the students when they realize what is actrually taught at schools. I mean we have seen glimpses of how teachers acted (e.g. "don't tell your parents what we teach you") and how parents demanded answers. Now imagine if this happens on a big scale
