Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I think it's always been an open secret that Biden was going to be a one term president no matter how senile he was. I do get this odd feeling that they underestimated how badly off Biden was and how quickly things would spiral out of control for him.

I think he might live to 2024 and his administration will announce he is not seeking a second term due to health concerns and then they'll get someone like Kamala, Buttigieg, or some other high rank Dem to run in 2024.

If y'all hit several hundred thousand new covid infections a day, the pandemic would be over in a matter of weeks. I see this as an absolute win. It was gonna happen eventually, there's a reason that at the beginning of all this, every infectious disease expert was asking for a few weeks to 'slow the spread' to prepare extra medical capacity. It was never a question of if the virus went out of control, y'all were past that. It was a question of having capacity to deal with it when it inevitably did hit. Instead y'all squandered it chasing after some impossible goal of shutting the virus right out again.

Leave it to the government to assume they can repack pandoras box.

I blame whatever fuckery the CCP got up to where they did harsh lockdowns for a few weeks and then just claimed 'zero covid nothing to see here gweilo :smug:' for giving cover for western leaders to try to do the same. They probably achieved herd immunity a year ago at this point.

If what we are getting is Biden at his absolute best, I can't even imagine how he is behind the scenes from day to day. It is remarkable how little we actually see of him to begin with, with Trump and Obama we saw them on nearly a daily basis, Biden we see him every once in a while and for only a few minutes before he is swept away by his handlers.

China's early vids were part theater, part bugmen being disgusting bugmen, and part ccp government showing their traditional lack of care about their citizens. I still remember that early vid of the chinese villager at the entrance to their village with a guan dao in hand telling sick people to fuck off and keep going on.
