Fascinating stream last night with soooooooo much to unpack & I'm grateful most of it has already been covered. Watching her interact with her chat was a remarkable view into the typical script of early abuse; how those falling into that trap learn to quickly rationalize, justify, flip the narrative & inevitably make it so much easier for the abuser.
In her case, her string of life failures & whatever is fucked up in her head are making it even easier for Nader to dig in for the long grift. He'd be a complete moron not to realize by now that she has no self esteem, is thirsty for any attention & takes that to the extreme of accepting blatant insults as 'love language'.
Meanwhile, does she give him that vapid, infatuated stare as she hands him her appliances, phone & apparently, money? Has she schooled herself not to look distressed if/when he forces unwanted acts on her? How quickly has he been able to push back, WAY back, her boundaries?
She was a misanthrope to begin with & as others have pointed out, he hasn't had to work to isolate her from the few remaining people who care for her - she's doing it herself, loudly, publicly & emphatically. He's within a week or so of completely calling all her shots & her vacuous VIBs will cheer her on as she greases herself for a faster slide to perdition.
The one item yet to be discussed. She picked up a piece of glass from his filthy floor & it remains lodged in her foot. I THINK she said he tried to get it out for her but couldn't find it or it hurt too much or something. She mentioned in today's live it was hurting more than yesterday. Whatever pathogens were on his floor or the glass itself; they've been added to by her schlepping around on her own filthy floor in the short amount of time she was home today.
A major rule for diabetics: "Thou shalt NOT ignore foot owies or any weirdness with thy feet." Diabetics heal poorly, especially in the parts farthest from the core. Her circulation is shit & she's not moving enough to help speed up the removal of injury waste products or bringing in the immune factors she needs to deal with any microbes in that injury. Her immune system is trashed anyway - I don't know that for a fact but with all her serious medical issues, that's pretty much a given.
With her massive weight, every step she takes on that foot presses the glass into tissue that may not of yet have been 'injured', damaging it & spreading pathogens. It may cause tiny blood vessel breaks which will also impede healing. It may damage tiny nerve endings.
This injury happened roughly 48 hours ago & the fact she saw fit to mention today the pain has increased does not bode well. The pain might simply be from mechanical injury but it's highly likely infection is coming into play. Whatever may be happening, she broke the cardinal rule & it's addendum - that ANY foot injury, even a seemingly very minor thing, needs to be seen professionally no later than the next day.
Possible consequences of not dealing? A wound that doesn't heal & ulcerates &/or abscesses. And gets bigger. And turns necrotic, (tissue dies). The infection could end up in her blood stream, (sepsis) & that's a whole other level of issues on steroids; especially considering her medical issues.
At this point, I'm looking for her to be feeling like absolute shit no later than tomorrow night, if she doesn't seek medical attention. Theoretically, this could escalate to a wound that won't heal, requiring daily wound care, potential amputation, many, many courses of antibiotics with all the joy of those & if she ends up with sepsis; that alone, (if she survives), could lead to a scary long list of terrifying other issues to try & deal with.
But hey, it's her life, her choices & nobody tells HER what to, amIrite?
