There's more to it than that, but considering Becky's thesis was on Pokemon, it's likely that's literally all she can do. She hasn't the work ethic, patience or smarts to do her job well.

IMO, what she lacks most is the ability to work with others. She keeps getting roles where she's coordinating information among different groups, yet she's proven to be a socially clueless weirdo when it comes to work interactions. Well really, any social interactions.

I don’t believe her doctor has this affect at all, though if they do, I support it. But bottom line, if she’s claiming she has had blood tests that show she isn't pregnant, she isn’t pregnant. She's two to three weeks removed from her missed period, depending on what story she is telling on the day, which is enough time for a blood test to be accurate.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 2-3 weeks late would be 6-7 weeks pregnant, right? She shouldn't need a blood test or a doctor's visit by that point, just a test from the literal dollar store. The fact that she doesn't know anything at all about any part of the process makes me seriously doubt she's EVER been pregnant. Even I know that women who're trying to conceive start testing around the time they expect their period or even a few days earlier (I think there are even more sensitive tests too? Not sure about that.). Testing weeks after missing a period is for women who're desperately praying they're NOT pregnant.

It's not even just Bex's fault, as clearly Daniels actions on the job were pissing off players who don't read this thread and likely don't give a toss outside knowing the team is messing with their online game meta. Indeed the most active threads I find about Daniel on the Apex reddit are more an analysis of his work and dismissive of the allegations, outside people not really being shocked that he would say something like that. I imagine the majority of Apex players who are pissed at Daniels impact don't even know who he is, but Apex knows how worked on what so if they complain about certain characters or changes, they still know it goes back to him.

Mind you would also think after this happening twice now, Daniel might figure out that inviting Bex along to the next company he joins is a bad idea. As every time she joins she effectively sets up a soapbox and loudspeaker so she can yell at the playerbase and company for being shitty in some way.

I’m somewhat confident it’s more complicated than this, but if I need to research a piece of media, I have a computer. I have an internet connection. I have a browser installed and I know the URL of several search engines. I am a semi-intelligent human being and am at least as autistic as Becky. I believe I could find any requested information about said media and I could do it faster than her because I don’t live my entire waking life on social media.

“Researcher in video games, film and TV” just sounds like you can name all 150 gen 1 Pokémon and you know who Tim Burton is.

Being a professional researcher is way more than just “lol Google this” — but for something so niche like Becky’s chosen field of video games, she’s limited to academia, which she doesn’t have the credentials for. Most professional researchers in the humanities — such as people who work in museums, for large corporations, for libraries/archives — are expected to have PhDs and be well-published. You could probably get away with a Masters in Library Science for some roles, but you’d need to back that up with publications and a solid work history. It’s a job that requires highly specialized knowledge that can’t just be gleaned from a Google search, and a lot of it involves ONGOING research and scholarship — something Basic Becky does not do.

I hope it was worth it for Respawn. I'll be generous and humor that maybe it was Just As Planned and they hired her knowing full well they could get rid of Daniel due to her behavior. Sometimes it can take a while to get all the right pieces in position.

She should try something other than games, she's never played or been interested in any game she works on beyond being a fujoshit.
